So I have a auto choke on my gy6 50cc. And Im having a hard time kick starting it. My battery is dead? Any way to make this thing work without it? or is it working? and was wondering if not having a battery effects anything else motor wise? like spark or the cdi?

When was the last time you adjusted the valves? If you have some miles on it the exhaust valve is probably tight and staying open a little and will loose compression and cause hard starts and when it does start you will have to keep giving it gas otherwise it will die. Set them both to .003 inchs and that will help the starting. If it still a problem then we have to check the fuel delivery on it. Get back after you adjust the valves because adjusting the fuel mixture when the valves are tight will not help. Alleyoop

Ok the ENRICHER, Take it off and look at it or put up a picture of it I will tell you if it is not feeding extra fuel or it is. Then you can try the following. BY DEFAULT the ENRICHERs Feed Extra Fuel when cold for cold starting. So when you take it out the PLUNGER SHOULD BE RETRACTED(the Plunger should be even or a little in the RUBBER HOLDER like this PLUNGER RETRACTED: AFTER 3-5 minutes of the motor running it should be like this PLUNGER EXTENDED: 1. With the Enricher out laying on its side COVER the hole with your thumb and try to start it. 2. If it starts KEEP your thumb covering the hole for at least 4 minutes. 3. As it is idling look at the ENRICHER and see if the PLUNGER and NEEDLE EXTEND OUT about 1/4 of an inch. Alleyoop
