I've done the 11 pole Stator/7 Wire Regulator mod. I'm running the stock headlamp but on dc using a relay that is triggered of the white wire on the R/R.
I have also changed the flasher relay with an electronic relay(to avoid having to use a load resistor in conjunction with an all LED setup)
My only deviation is I am keeping the headlamp relay near the R/R and CDI. I have noted my deviation from the directions found on this site.
When I run the bike now my and turn my hazards on at idle they flash normal speed. When revving past idle the flash rate speeds up. After a bit the main fuse(10 amp) blows. I've tried measuring voltage with my digital meter at the battery and get normal readings with the bike off, but once I start it my display changes voltages rapidly up and down. I'm stuck here and dont know what to check next.
