I had to go into Binghamton and Vestal today to take care of some business. Since it was in the fifties I decided to take the CF Moto and give it a run. The trip in was enjoyable and the scenery is still green. The bike just hummed along at 60 mph and rode as smooth as glass. My first stop was in Vestal at my insurance agent. I needed to clarify some of my payment schedules. It's one of the hazards of having three bikes and four cars on one policy.
My next stop was at my doctor's across the street from Southern Tier Harley Davidson. This was where my wife took her MSF BRC course and got her bike license.
I gotta tell you having a trunk and a top box is really nice. Sometimes it's hard to choose just where you'll put something.
After finishing up there it was back on the interstate and heading home. As I ride the highway through the hills of the Southern Tier it's great to check out the surrounding scenery. All too soon I was back in Deposit and ready for lunch. Fortunately I pass by a Wendy's which was strangely empty. I enjoyed a quiet snack and was home in a few minutes.
The trip was only 95 miles and the scooter made it seem like a much shorter trip. Honda was really on to something with the Helix. Even though mine's a Chinese clone it's a great touring device.
