Well the better deal is the Burgman 650 for 9K $1,000.00 more than the 400 burgman. Alleyoop

Well, that's true. I just meant that $4200 is a decent price for a real Linhai 400. A Burgy or Majesty cost way more and are only 400cc also.

Yeah but atleast the burgman is a suzuki and shops will actually work on em...I mean the msrp was actually 5200 of the linhai... soI would personally much rather have a burgman...

I'm sure you guys would but if I'm spending 8 large I'd buy any of the Japanese bikes including a Kawasaki 900 Vulcan. Eight grand is outrageous for a 400cc bike.

I think it is a bit steep on price but I haven't seen it either. I would hope the quality is up there as the price is. When I go looking for another ride I will take into account the fit and finish and how easily one can service the scooter. easily removable panels rate high on my list.

The Vog has a Yamaha designed engine in it so it's both Japanese and Chinese. That's an excellent price, Luke. You should buy it. I'm sure there's nothing wrong with the fuel lines, sadly most people are uninformed and just assume that. All you have to do is inject a little Seafoam into the float bowl and let it sit awhile, he probably picked up a tank of bad gas. It may need a valve adjustment though, it's a weakness in the Yamaha design. They need adjusting after a few hundred miles and then settle in. It might even be the reason he thinks he needs a carb cleaning and hoses.
After that you'll have a perfectly serviceable scooter for long rides. Jack Ryan does 800 mile trips all the time with his Yamaha designed engine. After you own it a while you'll see why the days of Japanese scooter might be numbered.

I'm glad you asked our advice about buying it. It shows you're coming around.
