If I had the money, I'd be on a Burgman or a Silverwing right now instead of fighting with my Rocketa.

No Morphous, but Murphy has been my constant companion for 60 years.
I am all for choices. Everyone should have choices but only they can make the final determination of what to buy. All we can do is answer their questions truthfully and provide info. I looked long and hard at many types of scoots. I even waited two years to see if anyone else would come up with an ATV-scooter hybrid reverse trike. In the end I rolled the dice knowing Murphy was at my side and bought a China one. They are the only company I found making such a configuration. I wanted the open frame ruckus style also for reasons that will become obvious whenever I get some pics up.
It took me a MONTH to get it running between waiting for parts and my shakes. They provided a blurry micro schematic but for the portions I needed it was about 80% wrong which is a BIG F-. I have rewired some of it and now have my own notes. The harness was definitely made by the low bidder, probably a sweatshop full of 8 year old kids in China or Bangladesh. Someday I will install my CAD system on this new-to-me computer and document it.
The reverse trike configuration was important for medical reasons. Even now I have a hell of a time making a right turn. I just cannot lean that way. When I lose my balance and fall, which happens daily, I almost always fall to the left. It is almost like my sense of vertical is leaning left at about 20°. Three 'silent' strokes have destroyed my balance system. I have still dumped the trike three times but none on right turns. I try to avoid right turns, but that means more left turns. All of the crashes have been due to target fixation and my inability to manipulate the throttle and brake with my right hand.
I have the throttle grip on my desk in front of me for major surgery and modification right now. I am looking at making a thumb throttle. It remains to be seen how I do it. I have seen a few throttle assemblies that are close to what I want. They are out there. If I had bought the scoot at a real scooter store they probably could have reached up on the shelf and fixed me up.

Why not check out a snowmobile throttle....they used to have a thumb one. If you can find one, all the work has been done for you.

Thanks, I will take a look. ATV's have thumb throttles also. I need the control pod also. I just need to figure it all out.
