I think all China/Japan bikes are very reasonable. My husband just bout a newer Harley and OMG the price he paid is unreal. I'll just stay with my China bikes and save money. That's why I love this site...it's about the scooters not the hogs...LOL

Why wait. You do know that the 250 Majesty has an engine built for them in China. Ever heard of a Linhai-Yamaha? The 250 Majesty looks like this.

OK it doesn't look the same but look at the engine spec. Same engine. A Linhai. It's good enough for Europe so it should be OK in Arizona.

You would think Yamaha would be big enough not to have to copy the Chinese. But look on the bright side Luke. They're all powered by a Linhai-Yamaha engine so you're in familiar territory.

Some things wrong with lukes video....they must be drunk.....driving on the wrong side of the road!

As far as what is made where not too many people know for sure where their jap stuff is really made anyway. It all comes in sealed containers to and from factories. Look at the small outboard motors....they are all the same no matter if it says mercury, evenrude, johnson, chrysler, tohatsu, or a host of other names on it. Only the shell is different, all made in the same (chinese?) plant.

i know those linhai ,gy6 and other chinese sounding brand names in scooters , the engine is super super clean outside, it's color is gray and it's very shiny, but deep inside it , the components are very brittle. (look what happened to KZ, he gently tightened the two bolts then the crankcase breaks into two. my goodness, i don't need a clean and shiny engine,,,i want a durable solid engine. IF i even discover that my morphous engine is made in china, i will immediately post it in CL free classified ads. it's a disgrace to even get it inside my house. gosh!

I don't know the exact details but yamaha entered into a deal with china and after it was over what was left was linhai/yamaha/ So what does that tell us? Some of the yamahas were made not in japan but where? Linhai using japan parts? or is it the other way japan using linhai parts! We look at the genuine yamaha manuals and drawings and walla same as we need for a linhai...how did that happen? Yamaha and linhai were in bed with each other and linhai built yamaha's. The chinese can build at any quality levels the buyers can afford. Could be all the time I waited on parts for my majesty was because the japs at yamaha were waiting on a container from china!

BTW, did you ever take the Morph in for the leaking fuel pump recall. OMG! Seals falling apart and leaking gas? Sounds dangerous. I'm sure the new, improved Morphous is better, though.
