Yesterday I went out for a ride on Rocket. It was a short 15 mile ride or so but, as always, it was a blast. How can a 50cc bike be such a hoot?
I had a local who owns a 125 Zuma come up and love it. He asked me all kinds of questions, loved the milk crate and wanted to know where he could get one. I don't know why there aren't more of them around.
It was maybe the last 50* day we'll see around here for awhile. If so, it was a great way to finish off the season.

Today was the last good ride for me as well. It was 60 and had a strong south breeze that gives me an extra 10mph if I drive north. Put about 20 miles on the scooter today.
Got a cold front coming tomorrow and by Monday its gonna be snow flurries and freezing rain in the forecast.
As for a winter question, do I need to put winter stabilizers additives in the fuel? My plan is to start the moped and let it idle 10-15 minutes 2-3 times a week during the coldest part of winter, and maybe a 2 mile ride on the days its at least 45degrees f

bobtechguy, lol nobody leave their vehicle on idle for 15mins,, oooh gosh, thats too long man!! weird!! lol

Thank you Kz for that nice footage. Looks like to enjoyed your short ride surrounded by all the beauty of your town. Here in Mohave County, AZ, fall, winter, and spring, are the best times to ride. The summers hit 122 to 130 degrees...no riding for me in that heat...LOL

I'm going to let you in on a big motorcycle secret, Bob. All you have to do is keep your gas tank full so air has little to no place to gather inside. It keeps down moisture. Maybe a little battery maintainer from Sears and a two minute run every two weeks and you're cool. It's worked for me for thirty years.

I ride my bike rain shine or snow...as long as I can get away with it till my wife catches on. I have ridden so far in 29 F and 31 F degree weather so far. Also have ridden in a nice cold 40 F rain. Very brisk, most of the water just ran off anyway. Wade A Pa rider on a 2012 Ice Bear Magnum.

yeah, you can ride all year round in Florida but gosh, the Humidity is ridiculous...200% humidity you need a year supply of under arm perspirant in order to live there..gosh! plus crocodiles and aligators cross the road at any given time of the day... i don't wanna loose my two legs, no way!

Luke I think if a Gator got hold of you it would spit you out... As for the heat my son lives there and it is hotter than here. I for one did not like it there and only go to visit.

hahaha, not quite magoo, when kZ went to AZ last month he like it here very much. i really suspect he came here to scout for houses to buy in preparation for his retirement....of course he'd deny it.
plus in florida ,the mortality rate on people being fallen by a coconut fruit is rising dramatically... coconut trees grow in florida btw for your information.

I will tell you what my Wife said about Arizona, "This isn't another State, it's another planet. We know at least one place we won't retire to."
