So i bit the bullet 2 weeks ago and ordered a silver ssr sonic deluxe 150 scooter,,,talked to the rep and they said they had several and it would take a couple of weeks and they would let me know when it would be delivered so i could arrange my schedule to be home so i could inspect it and accept the delivery,,,i get a call tuesday that they didn't have the unit,,,only green and pink,,,geez,,so i cancelled the order,,,been cruising craigslist for scooters for a few weeks and have been lusting after vespas but out of my price range especially new ones!!!!! 5-6000 for a scooter???!!!!(i'm historically a cheap bastard ) so i figured what the heck i'll cruise CL and see if i can find a not too beat up used stella or vespa and not pay an arm and or leg,,,and what pops up a 2002 et4 with 88 miles ,,,,bingo!!!!!!! i gots me a nice scooter for $1600 bux!!!!! cyborg ;D

congrats cyborg...we're kinda like same when it comes to being a "cheap bastard" LOL, we are practical people...we want the best for our money. and we won't settle for anything LESS like the chinese ginseng scooters..lol ;D congrats with your Vespa...a 2002 et4 with 88miles for 1600bucks? i envy you man! THIS IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN TELLING YOU GUYS!!!DON'T BE HARD HEADED, WAKE UP! SHOP FOR QUALITY SCOOTERS IN CL THIS IS THE BEST TIME TO BUY THEM. QUIT BUYING THOSE,THOSE,THOSE SHINY RAINBOW COLORED SCOOTERS THAT GIVES YOU PROBLEMS AS SOON AS IT ARRIVED IN YOUR HOUSE IN A CRATE...REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT WOMAN FROM ARIZONA? SHE PAID IN FULL,BUT GOT A RED TRIKE THAT DOESN'T RUN FROM THE VERY FIRST DAY AND STILL HAPPY TO SAY THAT SHE WAS NOT UPSET ABOUT IT AND SHE STILL LIKE CHINESE SCOOTS..... MY GOODNESS!!! HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YA'LL SORRY FOR THE ALL CAPS...JUST EMPHASIZING A POINT.

Thanks for all the kind words,,,i'm in cali so it's very hard to register a 2 wheeler with under 7500 miles on it,,,,and most real good deals are far away in another state,,so shipping has to be factored into the mix,,,,i looked at salvage but most were far away again and it's very difficult to know exactly what these wrecked scoots need to be made whole again,,,this one was 15 miles from the house,,and with only 88 miles i figured super clean,,,it was and now she's mine,,,,very happy the ssr fell thru,,,,cyborg

Yes, you're very lucky. Sometimes the stars just line up right and good things fall into our hands.

Go Borg! What is it? My computer isn't blowing up the attachment. It looks like a 50cc but has link forks like a 150cc.

it's a et4 150,,,can't believe my good luck,,,,ordered a new in the crate chinese scooter but the deal fell through,,this one came up on CL a few minutes after the scooter vendor told me they ran out and would take a couple months to get more,,it was only 15 miles away so i ran over and grabbed it before someone else did

good for you man! you just spared yourself from a lifetime dealing with headaches caused by carb problems, cvt problems, fried rectifier, broken turn signal, failed transmission( like what happened to that girl from arizona), stuck carb float, valve stem popping out, chipping plastic fairings,... AND we're talking about a brand new scooter here. can u imagine all those dilemas? and u are spared from all of those by buying that Vespa... you are blessed man!! enjoy your scooter.... while OTHERS are wrenching.. lol
and even if you overtighten those 2 crankcase bolt it won't crack!! lol

And it doesn't have a pesky fuel pump with leaking seals or corrosive electrical connections. It's made in Europe not Japan. It's built to last.
The two bolts threaded into the barrel. If it was a Yamaha that would have cracked the crankcase.
