With winter weather hitting the nation, now is a good time to get those new calendars out and mark down your scooter riding plans! Looking forward to a great riding season is a good way to warm up.

Scooting The Ozarks (STO) 2014 will be September 10-13. Four days of riding the twisting roads of the Ozark Mountains around Eureka Springs in northwest Arkansas. Besides riding, swapping stories, and looking at scooters, rally plans include good food, vendors, parade, show and shine, poker run and more! i wish i can go ride with the STO group this september.. and i want to go to Petit Jean, i heard it's a real nice place.

We would be glad to have you join us. It's been a few years since I've been to Petit Jean, but it is a nice state park, about 130 miles south of Eureka Springs, where STO will be based.

I should be there as I am going to ride again from Florida to Oklahoma. I will ask Lee in Ar if he can go also... I love riding in the Ozark Mtns.

Luke will eat his Hart out. Also want to make another run up Hwy 71 from Alma, AR. Guys I gotta say I did not see Luke and I put miles and miles on the Silver Wing. LOL

My motorcycle group, The SabreHood, did a gathering at Eureka Springs a couple years ago.
Roads were nice, downtown was nice, hotel was nice, had a nice time.
Would like to do it again, if my Trike could keep us with those Maxi scoters, Majestys, Burghmans, Silverwings, etc.

Luke would really enjoy it I'm sure.
Everyone trailers, so he'd be right at home

Dave it is nice.... just so dang hot!! LOL. I think it is hotter there than here Florida.

mike6736 having STO in September, the temps usually aren't so very hot. Some years we have to wear jackets most of the time. One year it was just plain cold to me riding some mornings (below 60 if I remember right).

davec not that many trailer their scoots in, but a few do. We've had people riding in from Michigan, Virginia, even California and Canada.

The trailer comment was a dig for Luke, who trailers everywhere.

it's around 750 miles from here to there, a little much for my 300cc chinese trike, but, I sure would like to join y'all for some nice day rides.

Rally registration fees are prorated. To take advantage of "Early Bird" rates, mail your registration by April 1, 2014. We're looking forward to another great rally this year. Last year's vendors said they would return, and Lance is trying to get more for this year. He's working on other things, too, but doesn't make announcements until things are locked in. Ride coordinator Kyle has posted some preliminary ride maps you may want to check out, too.

If you plan to attend STO this year, please register as early as you can, so that our rally coordinator has some idea of what attendance will be. Lance posted the following on the STO Facebook page.

Hi Folks......Well STO 2014 is now less than 4 months away. Please invite your friends if at all possible. I'm wanting to do some new things this year but I need attendance to pull it off. For those of you that's new, this will be our 7TH Annual Rally in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, September 10th-13th..... Eureka Springs and all through the Ozarks is such a fun place to ride that scooter riders come from far away to ride the twisties. The list of people registered for STO 2014 has grown to include riders from 15 different states and Canada. It's now less than a month away. Come join the fun!
