hahaha, oh kayzee... the issue was not the fuel pump itself... the issue was where the fuel pump was situated or located, yamaha thought that theres a big risk of water can sip thru the coupling. but a friend of mine who lives in keywest havent had his morphous recalled but still in tiptop shape.
i just finished talking to the CEO of yamaha on the phone, he said that the reason why they stopped manufacturing Morphous is because it never stalls an no mechanical issues at all,and they project that the morphous will begin failing when it reached 200K miles, so they thought that the turn around sales of the morphous parts would be slow and no profit will be generated since it never boggs down. well!! straight from his mouth!! convinced now??
its the mileage that counts not the trailering! i have 27K on my morph... and th odo doesnt run when the scooter is on trailer right??? its the grand total mileage of all your scooters btw.. lol im sure jr will have a field day reading your post kz...

First to telco: I'm sorry you got the lemon of the bunch. But, I did have the PDI done by Icebear, and mine arrived fully assembled, except for fluid changes. I did have one issue, that being a rad hose rubbing on the frame and sprouting a leak. R/R and all is fine. I got mine for mobility reasons, ride it all over town (weather permitting) and have a great time with it. Please don't let Luke turn you off to an otherwise fun scoot/trike
Second: Luke, your rant is getting sooo fuggin old. Let it go. I know you're only here to stir the pot, but dam man, give it a rest will ya.
As KZ said, I paid $4000 for this trike. A Burgman/Silverwing/Majesty plus a voyager kit woulda placed me right outa the market. But, I can now ride a trike and enjoy riding again. After my accident I didn't think I'd ever ride again, but I is. My next step will be to trike my GL1200.
So, telco, hang in there, it'll be fine once the engine/trans gets back and it's all back together. And with all your other upgrades, it'll be the best one ever.

Uh, no. I don't think you can speak Japanese, would have as much chance as a snowball in Miami of speaking to the head of Yamaha and 200,000 miles??? You're lucky to get to 27K on that Molotov cocktail. Everybody knows how bad Yamahas are. Look at John's Majesty blowing up from bad design. I have 18,000 miles combined on my fleet because I can only ride 6 months out of the year. Even with that short a season I rode 5,000 miles this year. How far did you carry the blow torch? It's 17 degrees with a wind chill of 5 degrees right now, with wind chills of 35 below forecast for tomorrow. It does count that you're afraid to ride a mere 186 miles to San Diego. Why is that? Might it be because you know you won't get that far before the fiery explosion or your clutch gives out?
JR? Who's JR? Is he that heavy guy with the vulture on his arm you showed last week? I'll bet he will love to read this too. Especially the part about you having a picture of your scooter being towed to the repair shop-again.

Ok guys....yes, I call Larry my hubby. we live together so I just call him hubby instead of BF. I have other names I call him but those are private...LOL. Yes it's my trike he's talking about and it really has been a thorn in his side. Hopefully now it will be fine though. We should have the engine/tranny by Thurs or Fri.

Glad you cleared that up. I thought the Arizona part, the transmission part and the engine being shipped part were too similar for it to be someone else. Also the Harley part. How many Harleys can there be in Arizona anyway?

OK Kat. Believe me, your scooter doesn't have the worst problems I've ever heard. Even if they did put a lot of washers to make the bolts work, at least the bolts are there. I would have done what Alley did and kept the bike in forward to prevent the problems you had. I'm old school and believe me, old motorcycles had to be worked and fiddled around with a lot more than these two wheeled automobiles they sell today. GPS, air bags, sound systems and cruise control? Give me a break. Not to mention reverse gears. That was science fiction 40 years ago. Now they're everywhere.

I used to watch my father work on everything and now Larry does all of that. I wouldn't know a screw turner from a pounder...LOL

Glad you cleared this up for Luke. I thought the same as KZ when I first read it, same trike. In keeping with my News Year Resolution I will refrain from saying any more about Luke. I am hoping this is an isolated case, to be sure I have sent an email off to Ice Bear and will be talking to my rep ( the wife of the owner ) later today to follow up. I have sold 3 Zodiacs, all were PDIed and Assembled by Ice Bear and dropped shipped ( Dave being one of them ) and none of my customers have had this issue. To be fair, there can be issues with anything mechanical, heck you ought to see all he work I had to put into my 1950 HD Panhead! And yes I did buy it unassembled in boxes. LOL! Also one other thing to others reading this, the Chinese scooters are the only scooter you can buy in a crate and shipped to your door unassembled and un PDIed. More as I get more information. Jim

AND OMG...it took them almost two months to replace the tranny?.
Hey two months for a tranny is pretty good. It took Yamaha that long to simply give John an oversize piston for his blown Majesty and even longer for Yamaha to give you an appointment to get your leaking fuel pump and corroding connections on yours fixed under recall. OMG ROFL.

hahaha,, the recall took the previous owner of my morphous just an hour to have it all done..?no sweat!
this is the first time i proved that Kz is not precise with what he is saying, this made me think how many times he lied before in his advices about scooters. ... poor newbies, gosh! the fuel pump in the morphous is not even leaking. jr is right, you've made up a lot of stories. , poor jr, he is the most judged person in the scooterworld, but little did we know the real vilain is out there riding a kawasaki... lol

I've printed the official recall for your leaking fuel pump many times. Your desperate use of JR's name shows how you're so worried I'm right. Not to mention your avatar with your broken down Morph in tow. I'll bet you're on a first name basis with your dealer. Remember I've done two 80 mile rides on a Chinese 50cc You have to ride 400 miles to meet that since your scooter is 5 times the size. I'm waiting for the pictures and story of that ride.
