Stan, I'd like to check your stator. We can do this by cranking the engine, it doesn't have to be running. Also I'd like to do some continuity on the coils and then coil to ground. Further, I'd like to do some diode testing on your R/R. There's a setting on your meter for this. That will tell me if your R/R is roasted. Let me know when you're ready. Rich

Bashan I got that diagram from a thread tagged " generic 150 wiring diagram: colored & hi-rise" not anything you've sent to me lately but you may have started the thread. Anyway, I think I have enough to get started and that wiring snafu I found with the yellow and green probably messed something up. That's why I think knowing expected meter readings may point out a fried part. My BAD, for sure if that's it. Putting wires back one at a time, have your library to test some parts with a meter. Should be ok if I don't make any more goofs, Yes That's possible.

Har! I know it is Stan, you're a good guy trying to help your pal out. If you don't do these things all the time it's easy to do a seemingly small miscue that roasts something. I mean, I'VE NEVER DONE THAT! I've heard of people that did though. (That emoticon is a hoot). OK buddy, I'll get together a few tests I think you should run and maybe we'll get this thing going like a ball of fire!! Oooh, bad choice of words.

You sent a thread about voltage readings on the cdi and the coil, unusual to do so you said. Anyway I don't know where I put it, could you please send it to me again. I'll certainly need it shortly. Thanks.

Bashan I got that diagram from a thread tagged " generic 150 wiring diagram: colored & hi-rise". Stan, I'm not making fun of you, but typos sometimes are a hoot. In fact I've read this a couple of times and missed it. Yep my diagrams are colored AND many stories tall! I wrote those diagrams up because Chinese wiring diagrams are infamously incorrect. So I think it's better to understand how these scooter's electrical systems work and a precise wiring diagram won't be necessary in a lot of instances. The generics are all you need. I've wired many scooters from the bare frame with no diagram. I'm not Houdini it's just that they are not that complicated if it's not EFI. They can seem daunting at first and then you realize, they are all essentially the same. Sprocket was probably the best at expousing that concept and drew up some beautiful diagrams. Unfortunately he hasn't posted in a while and the forum is diminished by his absence. We think of you Chris and hope all is well in the great white north. So yeah Stan, I'll be around at home Tuesday if you want to spin that puppy and see if it barks. Did I really just say that? Will somebody taze me please? Rich

I think Stan's concern is the first one and the timing marks. But feel free to chime in on the others and Stan, give us some input.

Stan sent me some more pix about his vac system. I'll see if I can get him to fill y'all in with more detail and in the meantime you can look over the system.
