I am new to this forum and have just bought a Jonway YY250T scooter 2008. I thought for sure I could find a Chiltons or Clymer manual for this thing but NADA....
The scooter seems to be in great condition but every now and then the emergency flashers come on, after a few seconds they will go off again. I DON'T EVEN HAVE AN EMERGENCY FLASHER BUTTON!!
Thanks in advance for your help.

There are many manuals in the tech section here. There is a Haynes manual that deals with generic issues on Chinese scooters. You have a Honda Reflex replica, I assume. The YY250T designation has been thrown about quite liberally but most are either Honda CN-250 engined or Linhai-Yamaha powered Reflex replicas.

Just goofin on you,,,i'd put my money on the switch itself or the wire loom directly behind it,,my guess would be the wires got pinched together or one of the connectors is like half loose touching another

HAHAHAHA, thanks BRO, I am a pretty good mechanic an OLD HOT RODDER in my days. To me a motor is a motor and they all basically work the same as a cars motor, your little scoots, lawnmoers and whatnot. They all need fuel, air, something to ignite the fuel inside and compression to run. As for all the other stuff sameo sameo, Stator=Alternator, Battery, the only thing that is a little backwards is the Coil and Distributor on a car with CDI and Coil on a scoot. But a Car and Scoot need the same things to run and light it up. Alleyoop

....I thought they were supposed to do that!!! You got it cooky BUT not many know how to fix them, worse is not many can diagnose a problem which is the important thing. Most just replace parts that are not needed LIKE MOST SCOOTER SHOPS until they get lucky and happen to hit the bad part. Then when the poor slob comes in to pick up the supposedly fixed ride he drops a load when he sees the bill Alleyoop

My sons ranger kept throwing a code ,,, I told him spend $40-50 have it diagnosed " no way man I'm not spending that money" soooooo $420 something later he finally got the correct part changed so he can now smog the pile o poo,,, oh and a ticket for driving with expired tags,,, he did pay the reg fees so they didn't impound said pile , BUT got a fat ticket ,, so the whole affair cost him almost a grand,, when diagnosed professionally then add the part cost it would have been well under $300,, he gets the hard head from his mothers side

Thanks all for your help... I did suspect pinched wires or the blinker switch itself shorting.
I just imagined someone changed one of my handlebar switches with an incorrect model...now I don't see a hazard light switch that should be there!!...guess not.
Changed antifreeze, oil, rear end oil... after pulling panels off, tightening screws etc, I see how these things are built!!!....they can go 75MPH....HMMMM that's dangerous....
My scooter looks just like "Alleyoop's", minus the trike back end.
I like your motto... WATCH OUT...THOSE WHO DO NOT KNOW, DO NOT KNOW THAT THEY DO NOT KNOW. My brother to a TEE...rocket scientist...(in his own mind), but can change a light bulb.
