If the wire colors are red, green, white, and yellow its a standard GY6 R/R. The body of the R/R doesn't matter so much but the wire colors do. The body on that R/R looks to me like it grounds right to the frame. I bet if you checked continuity from the body to a ground you'd get continuity. I don't know why they do that and then have a ground wire also.

yup thats it. does it need to be grounded? on mu other scooter somebody ziptied it on instead of bolting it.
in that case i guess the little square one would work wouldnt it?

Yup. Price is kinda steep tho. Would a standard square one work?

ok just tested. the nomal square ones ground pin is grounded to the body of the reg. the weird one on my other ones pin is not grounded to the body of the reg but of course the terminal in the connector is grounded still. would the normal square one still work in its place? i would think so.

The one that grounds to the body of the regulator is different then the one that does not . The worst that will happen is you will smoke it .
what foes Scrappy say .
