What roads are you riding to put on all these miles? Highways? County roads? Laps around the cul-de-sac? You're getting A LOT of miles in very quickly. I'm jealous. I'm gonna bundle up tomorrow and do a "long" distance run. After I take the kids to school, I'm gonna top off the tank and ride 'till it's empty. I've got 50Km on the scoot right now. I oughtta be due for the first fluid change and bolt check after that. By the way, your giddiness about your scooter shines through in all your posts. I'm damn happy for you!

I just make it a point to ride,,,, and I'm buzzing around all over the place,,, I just rack up miles,,,, when I drive my personal truck I generally do 200-240 a week so the scoot will get it instead,, 35-40 or more miles a day is not hard to do,,, and the thing is quick so it's fun to ride,, it snaps to 50 mph in just seconds , traffic is no issue at all I'm usually well away and almost thru any intersection before most cars are pulling from the stop line when the light changes,,,,I actually am learning to ride better with the scoot,,, carrying higher corner speeds so I can charge out of the corners faster,,, not using the brakes as much ,, I'm picking better lines that will be the most efficient so i don't have to touch the brakes,,, I'm using a dirt riding technique that let's the bike float underneath me so I'm not hammering the suspension or me ,,,I'm a very proactive rider,,, I don't just sit there and twist the loud handle,,, I'm stepping on the floorboards that's on the inside of the turn,,, lots of times I'm half standing,,, I could go on

Good point. I keep forgetting you're in sunny SOCAL. It wouldn't be hard at all to ride a boat load of miles out there. You bring up a good point about technique. I'll have to try a more active posture when I'm out tomorrow.

I have literally worn bikes out ,,, to where I weigh the value of the machine and not just money I figure in the fun factor and everything ,, and what it will take to go thru it to make it new and say no to a few of them ,, I'm from buffalo ny so I figured I'd go somewhere where the only ice and snow around is in my freezer,,,,,, I was sick for over a month so I didn't ride much ,, that's over now so I ride,,,, and I sold my personal truck last week so I don't have much choice ,,,, lol,,, poor little ol me has to ride,,, I'm getting a land rover discovery this weekend ,, then in a sym wolf classic probably within the month,,, I just loves me a ride,,, can you tell?
