I just recently bought a 50cc Longbo (LB50qt-22) It had a good bit of electrical issues, Ive ran all of the brake lights and rear and front turn signals into the new harness along with the stator, starter relay, ignition coil, and cdi, also to my R/R, turn signal switch and horn and dimmer switch, Now im left in a cluster with my instrument panel, also there is a pink wire on the harness that i believe is supposed to connect to my key switch? If anyone can kinda break this down for me I'd appreciate it. (Im doing this to learn my scooter, im still new to the multi-meter and kinda iffy about hooking my battery up, because i have no ground from the engine to the frame as i think im supposed to have? Also the harness didnt come with the green ground wire where it connects at the plug to the stator (going to run that as soon as all my connectors get here) if anyone could please guide me through this I would be grateful! (by the way wiring diagrams are a bit confusing to me) so if anyone has a more lame mans ways of explaining these wires to me that would help build my learning process. Thank you all Hope to hear something soon. I know my question is kinda miss guiding and probably confusing but if you can help PLEASE DOOO!

Never mind my issues, after looking deeper into the harness and the way everything has been connected together, i just need to wait on my connectors to get here plus a few new parts ive ordered recently to replace the old broken ones. Thank you for your site, it has taught me way more than I could have ever imagined.

To avoid any issues with your scooter, you can do what Luke does and trailer it everywhere and pull it off to park it on the street and pretend you rode it there. Oh wait, Luke owns a Morph not a reliable Chinese Scooter.

Well i am still having issues, my fuel gauge is working, and my rpm gauge is working, but when i start it up, the rpm gauge jumps to 4k rpms and it continues to go on past 10k rpms when i give it a light rev note this is a brand new cluster, also, my kill switch is working fine but the start button isnt working, im not sure that i have the correct wire to it, i believe it is red/yellow. Also, I have no head lights, or turn signals, both the brake switches are good as well and getting no response out of the tail light when squeezing the handles. I have jump the solenoid to get it to fire, so in turn i have temporarily mounted a switch between the terminals until i find my issues. If anyone could help me with these issues it would be sure appreciated.

Did you test if the switchs are getting voltage with the key On. If so then do the following:
There should be a plug coming from the brake switchs and the Solenoid plug should just plug right in. So follow the wires from the switchs back and you should find a plug and that plug should be plugged into the solenoid plug. When you squeeze the brake it should send voltage to the SOLENOID and to your brake lights those wires split to feed the brake lights and the solenoid. Allwyoop

To test the switch, I turn the key on, unplug the starter relay plug and test which wire, there is a red/yellow wire, and a greeen wire coming from the new harness, but on the starter relay the green wire is a yellow/green. What are the differences in the two. Also having trouble out of the turn signals, headlights, and the rpm gauge isnt registering correctly, its like at normal idle, it is registering 4k rpms.

Im just having a heck of a time, if anyone would be interested in texting me about this issue so i can send pics etc and walking me through it i would appreciate it dearly!

Brown wire is usually your lights and running lights. Yellow and green is usually your brake lights, all green is usually ground. Black wire is usually connected to the ignition and with the key on it has 12v feeding the other wires that need juice. Alleyoop

My head light wires are dark blue, white, and green. The new harness also has a brown wire running from it. But i have the running light connected it is green and brown, and the turn signals are wired which are light blue and green, and orange and green, But nothing on my left hand cluster works besides the horn, so im stuck with the brake light (not the tail light, it works when the key is in the one position) So for some reason its like Im not getting power to my gauge cluster. as far as the lighting goes. And i know the flasher relay is good, ive changed the right hand brake, master cylinder and brake switch. So. I just need a little guidance if someone is willing to walk me through this tonight or tomorrow afternoon, im a single parent and this is my only way of transportation to and from work, I had to risk it this morning on the way to work and run without lights or turn signals which is rather nerve racking. So could someone please text me and let me send you pics of what im working with?
