Hi New member and I'm having this issue with it not starting hot and bogging down New engine and exhaust starts cold and runs but won't start hot at all. Still under warranty but I don't trust the shop I bought it from because it was doing this and they put s New engine on and exhaust two weeks later same problem.

It starts cold but not when it's warmed up? 90% chance the valves need adjusting....been there. Here's how to do it.

It's not the valves it's a new engine with less than 200 miles I did some research and found that the electric choke is bad needs a new carb thanks guys.

It's not the valves it's a new engine with less than 200 miles I did some research and found that the electric choke is bad needs a new carb thanks guys. It Does not matter if its a new motor MANY BRAND NEW SCOOTERS come with the valves set wrong and it also depends on the quality of the METAL HEAD and VALVES were made out of. They can close in the first 50 miles you never know when the valves will need adjustment. BUT the telling sign is HARD STARTING when hot and or wanting to die when coming to stops. Tight valves usually the EXHAUST valve will not seal and it looses compression and will not hold low idle. You got it wrong Bud, The ENRICHER is for COLD STARTS, what it does is it FEEDS EXTRA fuel for COLD STARTS. Once the motor starts it gets voltage and starts to heat up the element inside and it makes it EXTEND the VALVE and needle to SHUT off the EXTRA FUEL. Now you do not need a NEW CARB if you believe it is the ENRICHER(CHOKE) you can just buy the ENRICHER and replace it. You can test if the ENRICHER IS WORKING right or NOT. JUST TAKE IT OFF WHEN COLD before you start the scooter and lay it on its SIDE. COVER THE HOLE ON the CARB with your thumb and hold it there and start the motor KEEPING YOUR FINGER OVER THE HOLE... NOW WATCH the ENRICHER within about 3-5 MINUTES the GOLD CYLINDER and NEEDLE SHOULD start to EXTEND OUT ABOUT 1/4 of an inch IF IT DOES IT IS GOOD. IF it DOES NOT EXTEND out then it the ENRICHER is bad Or it is not getting voltage but you should tell because the ENRICHER will get warm. Alleyoop When you first take it off it should look like this Cylinder is RETRACTED: After a few minutes the motor is warming up it should like this EXTENDED:

You know this just hit me. How about the coil or CDI overheating. They would take out the stator and trigger with the engine swap but not the electrical components.
I agree with these guys about checking the valves though. It's good to know how and a very good possibility.
