Belt sits low in the clutch pulley By twowheeler (Read 342 times)

Ive had 3 different belts, stock and 2 bandos that sit down a bit in the clutch. Its about a half inch between the top of the belt to the top of the pulleys. Is this normal? The belt rides the boss in front the way it should I guess.
So if the next answer is hey, run a longer belt...what would be the benefit?


Belt size is 723 17.5 28 . Both the stock and Bandos sit this way

Did you change your Variator? If it is 1/2 inch below the edge then the variator is already pulling on it. Some variators have a bigger protruding curve at the bottom which will raise the belt in the variator pulling the belt down on your clutch pulley. Either that or a little longer belt will raise the belt in the Clutch pulley.
