How do I get to the gas tank on my 250 scoot? My gas gauge quit working and I suspect the float is malfunctioning. Had that happen on a 150 that I own. Thanks.

If the gas tank is in back behind the seat then you have to take out the seat and tub. If the gas tank is in front in the hump you take one of the bottom side rails off and get at the sensor from there. Look at my TRIKE is it like that if so take the either side bottom cover off and you will be able to get at the sensor in the tank. Alleyoop

Alleyoop that he is right as far as I know most scooters gas tanks are in the rear of the bike. Does it have a one gallon tank or is it bigger due to it's a 250.

The 150s have their tanks at the back of the bike if they're gravity feed to take advantage of the height. The larger touring 150s like the Bali will usually have the tank down low in front of the seat with a vac fuel pump. I can't think of a 250 that is gravity but anything is possible. If you have to open your seat to fill up behind the bucket it's gravity. If you fill up in front of the seat, you have a vac or electric pump.
