There's an article in the newsletter about the Honda hybrid. I am very interested in those. I think we need to get away from calling the maxi scooters ...scooters. They are way beyond a scooter when they'll pop 85 or 90. The BMW even more MPH (back burner Jim). Hybrid sounds perfect to me, they are a cross between a motorcycle and a scooter...perfect name. The low center of gravity makes them easy to ride even with a heavy bike.
Hey...you'll be older one day too! Right John? John? Where the hell are you? Damn...in the back yard again. Just kidding buddy. We've both complained about kids holding doors for us. As Pryor said...I ain't dead yet.
Now, the Gunner! OMG! Huh, where am I? I must have passed out. A friend of mine went to a Victory show and he rode one. He said it was fun beyond belief but when he got off about 30 minutes later his arse was sore. However, he said he was grinning so much he didn't care. He said that big engine in that frame just came up through you and was exhilarating. It looks cool as hell, that's for sure.

He rode one of those too...said it was easy to control even though it weighed over 900 lbs.
I don't like that color....my wife loves it.

What I love about ALL Victorys is their reliability. Owners are popping 100,000 miles with zero mechanical issues. It shows that America can build a solid motorcycle afterall.

There is a dealer on craigs here that has an ad. HE STATES WEIGHT AS 1350LBS!!!! Damn that frame must be solid billet steel. I have said a long time ago a scooter should have a full step thru to be called a scooter. And further there is no reason a manufacturer could not build a 3-400cc scooter either. I think I would prefer a twin vertical engine too. john springfield.craigslist.org/mcd/4405645728.html

I'm with Magoo that thing is uglier than i am,,,and that my friends is not easy to do,,,,no step thru,,got to swing a leg over it,,,good luck with that one with the pillion up as a backrest,,,i'll get regular oldie conventional bike thank you very much,,,and all this talk of "low center of gravity" ,,,it makes a bike not as nimble ,,,Honda ran a race bike with the fuel tank under the bike with that thinking in mind,,,,it sucked,,,you need more weight above the rolling center axis than below,,,

I tend to agree with you Borg but Honda is lobbing shells at Generation X,Y and Millenials hoping to make a hit and take off from there. As silly as it sounds now the original CB 750 K-1 was a gamble for them. Four cylinders was Science Fiction back then but we Baby Boomers sucked it up like free beer. If it failed we would have all been riding XS-650s.
Crappy looking bikes like the DN-01 were the first salvo-FAIL. This and the NC700 are the next. Keep in mind that manual transmissions weren't uncommon in our youth but now......Something like 90+% of cars are auto or CVT. Clutch isn't even in these kids vocabulary.

And as it turns out the 4 cyl inline vert motorcycle engines are the toughest and best preforming style made, even today. Would love to see a 4 cyl inline vert engine in a scooter! Even a smaller one like a 350.
