My son has a Tank scooter. Seems to be a 250. Engine identification plate says it is a TK250T-2. Made July 2006.
Scooter kept dying on him and blowing the old glass fuses at the battery. Replaced the fuse setup with a mini blade fuse assembly. My brother (auto mechanic) recommended we replace the voltage regulator so we did. Scooter turns over but doesn't seem to have enough power to actually start. Battery is good and we checked it with a battery tender. I have experience working on cars but not scooters but my brother or I can do the needed work. It has plenty of gas - 1/2 tank.
Need more ideas what to check and someplace to find a manual online for it.

Put up a picture of your scooter so we can match the style and maybe find a manual for it. Alleyoop

Does it hit at all? Did you check the spark? Just so there's no confusion pull the bucket and tell us if it is a vertical or horizontal engine.

Problem solved, just had to keep trying it. It sat a couple weeks while we waited for the part. Guess he just had to get fuel pressure built back up or something, must have drained back to tank. Running fine this morning but took a couple tries to start.
I'll post a pic after he gets back from college today.

That year model Tank 250 resembles the present day Roketa Bali and has the 244cc Honda clone engine. It was the 2008 and later Vog clones with the Linhai 257cc engines that were the "Problem Child". www.powersportsmax.com/product_info.php/cPath/38_95/products_id/305It should give him excellent service. You might dump a few ounces of Seafoam gas additive into the tank. It helps greatly with ethanol issues. And actually what happens according to our fearless leader is that the gas in the bowl evaporates a little and it takes a bit for the vacuum fuel pump to fill it and fire the engine.

Yep, tow your bike sometime and you will see exactly what I mean. There won't be any gas in the bowl due to the wind drying it out. You can inject some gas with a mixer syringe or use a funnel to dribble some down the carb vent tube. It works every time.

He got it running. Turns out the idle screw was also out all the way. It looks just like the models in the link above. Been raining now a couple days so haven't been able to get out & get a pick but from what I can find on Tanks on the net, its a Tank 250DE.
He loves this scoot but ideas on where to buy new panels? Several of his are cracked and since it's black, he'd like to paint it something that would show up better in low light.
Also, is it possible to change the lights to something brighter, like LED or something?

Yes you can get LED lights for the turn signals, brake and running lights and even for your instrument panel. Just have to take the bulbs out to find what kind it takes then google for leds many places sell them. You can find them on ebay as well which would be cheaper than from a dealer site. Alleyoop
