I'd be a little wary that it is so cheap but that's me. You're good with a wrench? You'll have rings to install etc. Now...here's where I get in trouble, do you think 50 to 80cc is going to make a great deal of difference? You've now gone from 6 to 7 HP. If you can get your carb dialed in...if you can get the air cleaner and exhaust right. These machines are not fuel injected...well...mine is.... . Sorry. Anyway...it takes a lot of tweaking...if you're not experienced at this...and I think you're new? I'd chill a bit. Rich

I'm new to scoots but I've been working on my own cars for almost 30yrs. Started with tuneups as a teenage at my dad's insistence but I've rebuilt carbs, done clutch work, top end on car engines, even rebuilt an old ford 3 spd auto, rotors, ball joints & tie rods on an old Ford truck...
so yeah, I'm handy with a wrench
what I really need is to get more power outta my scoot when climbing a hill. I'm about 160lbs myself and I figure between the rear rack, under seat & a backpack strapped behind me - another 30 lbs or so. Most the hills here really aren't that steep either, less than 10 degrees where I ride. With cars, you usually increase engine power to get more pulling power.
So what do I need to do to get more pull on hills with a scoot?

to get more power for hills thats what you want. the only thing is that your crank bearings wont last near as long with that.
as a side note, i can get 25mph up hills and i weigh 225. its still just a 50.
di you check your variator for wear on the belt and clutch and if the pulleys are moving as they should?
