Honda clone. Looking to do either. Try re-jetting and if that doesn't work then replace carb.

What have done to your scooter so far? Take your carb off and check and see what jets you now have.

Where do I start? LOL Replaced the fuel filter and drained and put fresh gas. New oil, New spark plug DPR6EA-9 and gapedto 0.35, Cleaned carb. Scooter starts and idles just fine. Once gas is applied it bogs down and if you continue to hold in the same place it will gradually rev down to die out unless you let off the throttle and it will most of the time return to idle however sometime dies. I tried my hand at adjusting the A/F screw and when I would turn it clockwise the idle would drop so I would have to adjust the throttle screw to bring it back up.... And I would proceed to rev it again. Same results. It just seems to me like it's getting too much gas and it's running RICH. Some things stick out to me after all I've been reading. I've got a new CDI coming today thinking that would affect the way it's acting like maybe the advance timing is off.... (probably no it) The spark plug is getting fire, the fuel is flowing. There isn't however an air box on this scooter. I've been told this could be an issue to cause this problem. I'm going to be getting one soon. It came without one. I'm looking for any and every possible fix that anyone may have an idea!!! Below is an image of my carb when I took it off last night and cleaned it. On the upper left port coming out of the carb right under the diaphragm cover didn't have any hose hooked up to it. What should be there?

I don't see the pic of your carb but I would definitely say it's cause you don't have an airbox on. Your carb is sucking in way to much air! Order yourself a airbox and you should be all set. I just had the same issues. Airbox from eBay was $20 shipped and made all the difference.

Yes the carbs are actually pretty simple and easy to adjust AS LONG as you have the AIR FILTER on it and no AIR LEAKS. Actually it is running LEAN you are going the wrong way on the adjustment you should be turning the fuel ratio mixture Counter Clockwisse to give it more fuel BUT YOU MUST HAVE the AIR FILTER ATTACHED otherwise you are fighting a loosing battle. IT all is a sealed system and the only AIR COMING in should be from the air fitler if you have other air coming in it will run like snit and bog and will never get it to run right. Use this to put up pictures it is easy and free: We need pictures of the carb area and hoses and what the carb looks like. Alleyoop 1. Click on this link: tinypic.com/index.php2. CLick on the link BRO and you can order it or you can maybe find one cheaper than that. Just watch the RIGHT SIDE where the throttle hooks up to you want it to match your mounting bracket and on some you can swap out the one on yours IF the mounting holes are in the same place. Alleyoop

That is why I put it up the prices on carbs are all over the place. That same one some are asking almost $200.00 for it they are nuts. For any part you have to google and check out the different sellers but you will find that the ones on EBAY are usually the cheapest. Alleyoop

Defiantly need the air box or just the air snorkel with a filter on the end of that. I just went out and bought another carb for my scoot. It does not look like that one you posted but more resembles my original except it sais Japan on the side. I took it apart and checked the jets. It had a 108 main and a 37 pilot. I changed them to a 125 main and a 38 pilot. I also checked the needle jet. It was adjustable unlike my original carb. It was set on the lowest setting so I set it on the 2nd to the top slot. It has 4 slots. I put it together and walla. First I noticed that the enricher worked like it was supposed to. Then after it warmed up, I went and adjusted the air mix screw. And finally, I have response the way you are supposed to. I took it out for a test drive and it is stupid windy out. Earlier today, I could not get my scooter up over 60 without it surging and bucking. Now, it goes like crazy and no bucking or surging and a smooth 70mph. My carb was the problem the whole time. I still have a little fine tuning to do but it is way better now than before.

I've kinda got it narrowed down. Something that will be a real big help to me will be if I can get some input on what a scooter will act like when...... The fuel pump isn't doing it's job?............. The scooter is too rich?.............. The scooter is too lean?............... Up to this point I really can't narrow the bogging down issue until I hook it up an air box. It's on it's way..... Some insight in the mean time would really be helpful! I've wanted to give up a couple of times, But yet here I am..... Still trucking along. I know most of you have felt this way before. Thanks for your help thus far.... Without it I would be no where. Even though that's how I feel now
