Yes definitely cold and I'm 99% sure it was top dead center. The flywheel is very rusted can't see any markings. I had what I think is the timing marks lined up though

Yes we set them to .002"!! Not sure what the issue is.

OK so after about a month of switching parts and fixing things finally got my brothers ch80 running!! One issue is we adjusted the valves 3 times and they knock soooo loud when driving!! Runs and rides fine. Any ideas? ?

OK so my stator was caked with dirt!!! Not sure why cause I don't take it off roading or anything. Anyway I cleaned dirt off and it looks brand new. Put it all back together and still won't get spark. Is it possible it's just totally fried?

Yeah that's king of what i figured just wasn't sure if one was for a 50cc or what. Thank you for the reply. Doesn't look all that difficult to do anyway. One question though, i have heard you need an impact gun to take flywheel off, is this necessarily true?

Can't seem to find any info on my wildfire r8 50cc gy6 online. My question is does anyone know if I would need a 6 pole stator or an 8 pole? 8 seems to be the most popular on eBay.

That brass threaded piece with a little spring/clip is what holds the actual spark plug in the boot. You SHOULD be able to simply screw it back in.

Just replaced to ignition coil and plug about a month ago. Gonna go ahead and just order a cdi and trigger coil.

Just about 4000 miles on it. I've checked all connections to cdi. And boot. I am gonna have to take it all apart and check EVERYTHING I guess. Something had to of come loose. It has been running great
