How could I forget Alleyoop you're definitely something as a resident expert around these parts. I will follow that schedule to a T! I will be purchasing my fluids tomorrow. I'm glad to hear Denali to be better than other cheap Chinese scoots. Point in the direction of an owners manual and parts list or parts replacement source. That would very helpful!

Hello! So I decided to get me a BRAND NEW 50cc scooter that I can ride legally without having to get a motorcycle license here in Texas. Decided to go with a Jonway/Denali 50cc aka Cougar Cycle 50cc. Purchased from motobuys. Your welcome to check it out: www.motobuys.com/denali50-coug.html Also found here under a different name: www.cougarcycle.com/scooters/denali-50-cc/So you can give me some feedback on the specs and any history you may have with the engine. Pointers? Feedback? Advice? You got it, I'll take it! Right now I'm going to be diving into taking delivery and first things to do list: I have heard a lot of people here and there talk about OIL! Don't run that thing with the factory OIL! OK! I believe you! I plan on swapping that out first! Any specific? I guess just a basic SAE30 or 10W-30 is what we generally use here in Southeast Texas. Second, Third, Forth? I haven't a clue. Need a little.... Need a LOT of help in this area. I appreciate anything you can throw my way. I'll continue to update this thread with my delivery and progress. Wish me luck!

Most online places I was reading do their own PDI. Any chance killer did this before crating it? That would explain the 1.5mi ODO reading???

Thanks a lot for the info steelblade! I'm gonna take your feedback seriously... I had kinda came to the thought that these chinese scoots are getting better at a lot of things... especially in the quality dept. I do have some musts on my list like.... Replacing the spark plug with a quality one, changing the oil to my brand preference, same for gear oil, and fuel filter. I also plan on locktite usage on most bolts that you don't want coming out. Thanks again for your feedback!

Good opinion! In the range from $140 - $150 believe it or not. I'm seriously thinking of skipping eBay and spending the extra $10 and going with ScrappyDog. I can pick up the phone and call them if I have a question for that matter... Or just refer back to here. Plus I'm for the business owner before the online retailer! Here is what I need.... it's a little down the page under VOG cylinder head complete. www.scrappydogscooters.com/LH170MN_Linhai_257___275.html
