Start with a complete PDI Fluids, hoses, nuts, bolts, screws, blue loctite, etc tire pressure Then enjoy the ride Break in properly and a complete pre-flight each time you ride
Enjoy
nice looking scoot
And later on you can think about brighter lights, LED's, new belt, sliders, CDI, hi perf exhaust, jets, etc etc

Don't go changing hoses to soon. I did that and made all kinds of heartache for myself. Every PDI I've seen mentions it, but they are all years old, too.
Yes on locktite and tighten bolts and such. Also it doesn't hurt to change the fuel filter and spark plug. Not too hard to do on a GY6.
Look at the hoses, if they are Rewin EPA (or close to that, I can't remember exactly what they said) then they are fine.
If it starts up and runs, then DON'T go messing with the idle/fuel mix settings. Winter is different from summer, but if it's cold enough to affect the running, it's probably too cold to ride anyway.
Quality control is much better on newer bikes, all the horror stories are based on nearly a decade ago. DO check for debris in the gas tank. Most likely fine, but it doesn't hurt to check JIC.
If you live in the southern states, or western states where the sun takes up about 3/4 of the sky, then get a cover. It's still new, wanna keep it that way for a bit. Also, the sun will dry out the seat in only a few months in Texas summer sun. Better to cover and not need to than the other way around.
One is supposed to change the battery, but for far less I permanently connected a small solar panel and the battery never gives me any trouble.

Thanks a lot for the info steelblade! I'm gonna take your feedback seriously... I had kinda came to the thought that these chinese scoots are getting better at a lot of things... especially in the quality dept. I do have some musts on my list like.... Replacing the spark plug with a quality one, changing the oil to my brand preference, same for gear oil, and fuel filter. I also plan on locktite usage on most bolts that you don't want coming out. Thanks again for your feedback!
