Here in NY anything over a 50cc needs a MC license.

That keeps the drunks off the road with the license. Too many states allow any one to ride a 49c with nothing, no license or permit.

Anything over 49cc in Hawaii requires a MC license also.

Walking is approved on every states list. So is driving that is if you can follow the simple laws of driving.

Texas is like most other states if the Scooter is over 50cc and goes more than 30mph you have to have a MC restriction on your DL. Here is the Texas approved list of scooters 50cc and under...

I would feel pretty safe living in texas if I were to buy at either a brick and motar or from a texas based internet dealer. I know there are several including "KILLER".

Can't ride an electrical assisted bicycle in Louisiana without a MC license.

With all the different state regulations I wonder how it would work for an out of state rider to go across the state line with a legal in one state and illegal in the next state. the electric bicycle example above or come from a state with no license or tag needed for a moped to a state that requires both.

i never ran into this problem,,,i always had an mc endorsement,,,i had a bike before i had a car,,,in cali the highway patrol has flat beds on the "bike" roads,,pulling people over for loud pipes ,,then find out no mc license,,whih means no insurance,,,instant impound ,,,cause the ins co. asks you but doesn't verify that you actually have an endorsement so the policy is null and void cause you lied about having it ,,so bingo you win the prize of lose your license for a year,,,i'm a fan of lic&ins,,only for the fact of liability,,you hit a rolls or ferrari you're toast,,,,the paint alone on a modena is $10,000 +,,,,a rolls $20,000+ heaven forbid you dent a fender,,,,a drivers door mirror for a modena is $2400 unpainted,,,,,i carry a million dollar liability with 2 million personal injury,,,just in case i get more stupid than i already am and hit something or someone,,,it's so easy to pass the tests i don't know why you wouldn't get it,,,then you can ride anything you want anytime

In texas if you are over 18 u just need insurance for 50cc "moped" I looked everywhere and I cannot find anything like the other than the 35mph limitations
