Since I took a fall off my scooter last night, it has some pretty NASTY scratches. Obviously things like this bother me so I want to fix them. Luckily there was no cracked plastic aside from the front wheel cover breaking off (I probably can't fix because I don't have all the pieces, but I think I can fix the scratches.) What kind of paint should I use for plastic, and what's your experience trying to match color?

Sorry you crashed your scooter last night hope you are ok and be care full out there. The best bet is probly pulling all the plastic of and repainting the hole thing. I am not sure if you have compressor sprayer gun. I would think that that's how they got the paint to look good.

If it was me I would just run it with the scratches in the paint you could always spray paint it but that would leave a dull finish I would think. Your could also try rubbing compound but I don't really think that would work eathier got me stumped not sure. Sorry hope your ok are you scared to ride now?

We do not have a compressor air gun, unfortunately. I'm not looking for perfect. I was hoping there was a product out there that comes with a small paint brush and just get a similar color. And I'm not scared to ride now, I love it too much to be scared. I rode home from my friends house today and I was okay.

Glad to hear your ok. You got it with the painting Just go get a similar color and sand it a little and after you sand the paint a little bit. Take like mineral spirts or paint thiner to clean the rough up spot with a towel. And paint it up with your brush.

Glad to hear your ok and wearing a helmet. Be care full out there and please use more caution going to the hospital is no fun. Keep up the good work on your scooter projects. Did you end up getting your friends razz running? Kinda curious if the reeds in backwards if you got it running.

Yes, we got it running. I posted a video in that topic with it starting up. Now all that's left is to get the Vespa Piaggio Ciao running.
