Here's my take on this. Kymco, SYM and all the Chinese are not members of MIC. You have to wonder if the negative numbers mean that the brand name scooters are losing the sales war to the Chinese and Taiwan.

I think the brand names are pricing themselves out of the market. Don't get me wrong, Honda makes a great product, but so does SYM. The analogous bike to the Citycom 300 would be Honda's Forza which is $5,600.00 plus a $300.00 destination fee. The ABS is $6.1K! The 300i SYM is $4,900.00. I never been on the Forza. But I've been on a lot of bikes..a lot. The SYM is one of the best running, biggest hoot bikes I've ever ridden. I grin and giggle every time I'm on it. The Honda would have to levitate to make me pay that much more. JMO. Rich

That is a lot to spend on a scooter. I guese that's why a lot of people go with the Chinese scooter huh?
