Except for some bozo cracking the head, my 2008 Bashan is running great at 7991 miles. The plastics are a mixed bag but they don't carry me down the road. I will say my 2009 China bikes are a little better. Rocket is a rock.

Bump! I got my Oil Pump Chain and Starter Clutch Removoal Tool (worthwhile investment BTW) and got my scoot all back together! It is purr in' like a kitty and running really good. Yesterday I even took my (40lbs) on a 50+ mile ride to a nearby reservoir with no issues or overheating. It was not a cool day in AZ if you check the forecast. So, my take on the scoot for now is this. I still love the little booger, but man can it piss me off sometimes. I do accept that the reason I had to go in and rebuild the damn thing a second time was largely my fault for not installing the starter clutch properly and the more recent happenstance was because I likely put the oil pump chain on the wrong teeth on the crank shaft, or I didn't notice it migrate off of the correct one during installation. You can bet I checked, double checked and triple checked it this time. I am so excited to be back in the saddle. You probably won't hear much from me if/until she takes another turd. OR, my Roketa 250cc Cruiser arrives in the mail!  |

Good to hear you are running well friend. And congradulations on the new bike you just ordered. Hope you like it probley will be a great comfort for longer rides. You stuck with it and got it figured out that's great. |
