yeah i dunno how valve adjustment would really matter a lot, knowing how tiny the difference between 0.004 and 0.005 is,,,,,that is even smaller than a baby's hair strand (or magoo's)

hold it right there.. do not touch the carb!!!!! do this first... pull the three tubings attached to the petcock , remove the petcock ( there are two screws holding it) now disassemble that stupid petcock, there are 5 screws in the backside, remove the cover, careful the spring might jump like a clown out of the box. now the diaphragm is now exposed, look closely, examine the diaphragm for some tear and holes, if there are some holes you need to replace the entire petcock, sadly you cant buy just the diaphragm. the effin petcock cost $46. in amazon or ebay. for a 30+ year old scooter and the only problem is the diaphragm? id say its a solid scooter, i have one myself amd doing same thing, it starts but dies because gas is flooding the spark plug, due to bad petcock diaphragm, carb is not always the culprit !!! good luck

if you want a good lasting durable carbureted scoot that will give you hundreds of thousands of miles,go for the Helix.,,i know the front cowling looks like a duck's beak and looks very ugly but the mechanism of it is superb, smooth take off and steady in highways. its a solid bike.
all of your choices are NON CHINESE BIKES,you are on the right track bro!. keep it that way. good luck, keep us posted on what you end up buying.

I think you guys fell right into LUKES trap. he thrives on conflict that is his only purpose in posting. I new a man the exact same way, he went to every fishing forum he could find and stirred up things untill he was banned. it was his source of entertainment. if everyone just ignored luke and didn't respond he would probably just fade away. now for the record I AM NOT SAYING CHINEESE IS BETTER OR WORSE THAN JAPANEESE! I'll just deal with what I have untill I get something else. that being said this has been kind of fun i tried my best but you still decide to go to the dark side... enjoy fixing your cheapo scoot. ... as the old saying goes, birds of the same feathers get stuck together. lol wow! kz is talking about "respect" pinch me, i must be dreamin'

hi scooterhater, now you see who has class and who is cheap. if you want to live in a disposable life continue riding that chinese scooter and deal with headaches everytime you ride. electrical and mechanical problems come one after the other. Kz thought that if the tires is junk, the entire scooter is junk, what a logic. yes, i agree with kz when he said that the key to a good running scooter is good regular maintenance, BUT that does not apply to a chinese scooter because it has problems even from day one before you even do a maintenance on it , my goodness!!! if you ride a chinese scooter your self esteem and self worth is ruined. look at me, i always ride with pride because i ride a solid indestructable japanese scooter.
