I live in California. I understand that at a red light, I am allowed to filter between two lanes of traffic. My question is... how do I filter when I want to make a right turn? Am I allowed to ride in the right gutter and pass cars until I am at the front? Also, when going straight at a stop sign, am I allowed to go through the stop sign next to another vehicle? Or do I have move in front of the line and go through the stop sign alone?

These scooters do not have much power to spare and a volt meter will let you know for sure where you're at... Every Scooter/motorcycle/vehicle should have a volt gauge/meter IMO. Good way to know if your battery is about to kick the bucket too.

I think I might keep it simple and just hook up the cigarette charger to the scooter battery, and unplug the GPS every time I stop the engine. Then I will reconnect the GPS AFTER I start the engine so there is no chance that the GPS will make the engine harder to start.

Thanks. I have a multimeter. I misunderstood. I thought he was talking about some kind of device that installs next to battery that monitors voltage.

Let's say I go for a long ride on my air-cooled scooter. If I then park it but leave the engine running, will the engine cool down or get even hotter?

I like the windshield in your photo. I am getting tired of wiping bugs off my jacket.

If you had to buy a new Chinese scooter, which brand would you choose? Or are they all the same quality?

It's not a GY6. It's a 1988 Yamaha Riva 125cc. Does that make any difference?

On your trip, be sure and pack some ice and a lot of asprin. You're going to need them for the headache you might get from idiots laughing at you. If I cared what people thought of me, I would not be riding a 1988 scooter held together by duct tape.

The cigarette port I ordered comes with a fuse. If the port affects starting, I will disconnect the GPS before starting or I will install a switch that turns the port on and off.
