The manual says both intake and exhaust 0.08. although the original is a 125 whereas this is a 300 so i would imagine its different ill try yours and try the manual. Would be so much easier if they just answered your questions when you email. hhhhmmm my gf is chinese malaysian so if neither of those work im goingto get her to call direct hahaha

Sorry for got to mention that the engine is a copy from the Air Cooled Honda CG125 Engines spanning 1976-1991. This is the push rod engine that was used when creating the Chinese CG-200 and CG-250. Could i just grab the manual from carlsalter anduse the specs there

Im starting to seriously wonder why on earth i bought a Chinese engine now. Serious lack of customer support from the supplier and 0 response from the manufacturer.
I posted on here a while back about not being able to fix my electrics well after a few months and a lot of help from people here i finally got them to work. The only downside now, when i kick she doesn't start. every now and then she will fire but die and when she fires smoke comes out of the carb (defo smoke you can smell it too).
I know i have to sort the timing out, but all the manuals i find are for cam chain, but this engine is a push rod. Does any guru here know what feeler gauge to use to set the valves. what mm etc for both intake and exhaust.
I just bought the engine not a bike and I can't find another bike with this engine inside.
ENGINE:
170FMN yinxiang 300cc same as NT250 Push rod timing no chain
Thanks for any help its greatly appriciated.

i wanted the twin it was only $600 but that was 300 above what i could afford. From what ive seen in thailand though that little lifan v twin is epic. If thats AC and mines DC then the black and red wire from my stator is redundant right. Plus the red wire from my R/R goes to the battery and to the ignition switch then the black wire goes to the power on side of the ignition and then too the power in of the cdi

They all come out on the left side of the engine. At the exact same place as all the other wires. I'm NOT using the old wiring harness it is too badly damaged and the connectors aren't the right ones plus it was over 10 years old. I've already started on my new wiring harness and have so far finished the lights indicators horn and ignition now i just need to wire up the engine and figure out what those wires are for. The bike is canabalised from different bikes. I have enough understanding to be able to figure out the wires from the handle bar switches etc its just the engine i have no idea what the wires are for?? I just need to know what the wires are coming from the engine and if the above diagram would work to wire it up. If you were to look online on alibaba you would find the engine easily under yinxiang. or click that link thats the excact company i bought the motor from. link

The Wiring harness if from the old bike. The new engine came from alibaba not another motorcycle and everything was done online. the suppliers refuse to contact me and the manufacturer also refuses. I dont know if the engine has a gear indicator or neutral i dont know what those wires are i cant get a narness because of all the different parts on the bike

This is the bike overall. This is the engine. The number stamped on the engine block is this 170FMN1E000008 i have 3 yellow wires coming from the engine. this i know is from the stator. then i have 3 other wires a Green, a Black/red and a White/blue. White/blue is pulse/trigger black/red im not sure of and green is earth... Now what im really confused with and some say is a gear indicator, are these wires. Theres 6 in total.

Hi i am really confused with this engine i bought. I'm getting no feed back from the suplier or the manufacturers. I't a yinxiang 300cc 170FMN1E000008. i cant find any bikes the engine is in to look at for reference and no one seams to be talking about them much online... Should of really looked into that first really!!! Now i have this Wiring Diagram i got from another website and modified it a little would this work in wiring the bike??? With the rectifier can i just take the wire from the battery and the red wire from the rectifier link the two together before connecting to the ignition switch?? What colour wire would go from the ignition to the starter solenoid (My solenoid is one yellow and red one green)?? I know the larger terminals connect to the battery and the starter. I think the yellow/red wire is the cable to the ignition switch and the green to the kill switch would this be right. Finally last question What on earth are these cable for?? they come straight out of the engine. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If not some books or information on where best to find the answers thanks.
