No speed this is my other scooter. I am going to do a top end rebuild on that this weekend. If I can not get this figure out this one is going up on the for sale block soon.
after a quite a bit of reading today I am thinking that it may be the partly the Vapor Recovery system causing issues.

I just put a BRAND new Carb on it. It idle perfect.
It acts like it is flooding out when you give it any throttle.

Ok so everything has been going good with this scoot all weekend. Decide to ride it to work today. Running great. I get half way to work and I lose all power it starts it idles great but I give it any gas it bogs out and dies. If I very easy on throttle while on center stand it will get up to about 3000 then bogs out. I have clear fuel line on it so I can see it has gas at carb. All theair breather tube are in place and tight. I just don't get it.

for what it cost for gas and time as well as gasket. for a should work out fine. the $124 for the Piston head and gaskets is not that bad a price. I can always send the old head to get done and have a backup top end. All is good.

Ok so Top end is on the way. So if all goes well the Pissed off Bumble Bee will be back on the road this next weekend with NO SMOKE. I sure would hate to start another Indian war sending all wrong smoke signals from the back end of scooter.

Thanks, You all have pretty much made up my mind. We just ordered a complete top end rebuild kit for it from Scrappy. No one locally does honing. I figure it will take us a few hours to rebuild the top end and then we should be good to go from there.

Ok sounds good. So if I tear this thing down do I have to replace the Head gasket everytime I tear it down?

No did not hone cylinder. Heck I am new to this motor rebuilding stuff. just kinda sucks that I even have this issue to begin with. Now I just need to figure out how to take care of it.
Just knowing that I had the motor tore all the way apart and put it back together and it actually ran is one huge step. The fact that it is burning so much oil that is not good.
SO I guess I just need to know what the easyest fix is? I do not have honing equipment.

So I am kinda thinking the line of a full top end rebuild so it would have a new piston and sleeve. Any other way that that much oil would end up in the cylinder? I started it warmed up and in matter of less than 10 min about 4 oz oil out of the motor.

Ok So back last october I had to have the crank and Piston for my scooter since the crank bearing was shot.
Ok so I did not get a new head just piston and crank for my scooter.
So I get it running and I am it seams to be burning Oil. I figure this is because I did not get a new sleave just the piston and rings. Do you think that this will stop once this piston wears into the old sleave? or is this going to be a major problem?

speed you never know. I did pull the bell off the clutch and the shoe look fine. Since this is my dads scooter and this is the first time we have looked at the belt since he got it 2years ago. I am still thinking this is the original belt from when this scooter was new. It is a 2006 Linhai Mainstreet 260. He has never had any issues with takoff or hill climbing with this thing. The only issue he has ever had with it is the hard starting which started the end of last year and has gotten worse over time.

Well it ran last week. When he went to start it to put it on the trailer to bring it down it would not start. When we pulled plug and checked for spark it would spark once for like every 10 seconds of cranking. We pulled the coil off my Roketta and put in his and it would spark nice blue spark just cranking the starter.
The pump just flat out no fuel coming out of it at all. No gas getting to carb. Not sure what happen there but it just nothing. There is voltage at the plug but the pump just not working.

WEll this belt was only the Beginning of the mess we have this weekend. His scooter has been getting harder and harder to start all the time. So the weekend started to do Valve adjustment and put on elec fuel pump. And well we were at it said we should check the belt and Rollers. Well the damn nut on the variator was on so darn tight ended up breaking fins off getting the nut broke loose. So have to now get a new variator. Then when we go to start up find out he Elec pump that his scooter already had is not pumping fuel. Then to top it all off find out the Coil is bad. So we are not haveing a very good weekend.
