If it is Identical to the Honda then I personally recomend the Best you can get and it will be the last one you will ever buy. I got this for my Jonway last year worth every penny. if the plugs are the same as the Honda ask Tony for the same set up that he used on Todd Fiebranz Demo/test unit that he did for me. www.oregonmotorcycleparts.com/VRRPM.htmlVRRPM3H-GL1000

Now one more thing I have noticed since the complete motor rebuild. My charging is way better. I think getting all the metal shavings completely cleaned out of the motor has helped TONS. It is 95 degrees here today and running around town fan running charging is up around 15 volts with fan running... SWEET....

not nice to be a winner for this but glad you found the reason easily. Was it brand new diaphragm? You should contact to seller and ask new one. Will see what happens. Scrappy just emailed me said they do not normally warantee wholesale parts. but would see if he could get replacement partss for this carb. That he has never had this problem with one of these carbs in the 2 years he has carried them. The needle should not fall off in less than 30 miles. Nor should the diaphragm have any holes in it.

Well I feel more than the Octane the fact that the Higher octane fuels here in Wisconsin do not contain Ethanol while 87-89 octanes here do. I had a flex fuel van that I feel had an early dismise I will say I believe it all because of the ethanol. All around the fuel filler on that van was all coroded and the paint was gone just from some spillage from E85.
For that reason alone seeing what ethanol does to good solid vehicle I make sure on the scooters to use nothing but fuel with NO Ethanol in it.

Ok got the top end rebuilt. All is running all is good. It actually runs better now I think than it did when I got it.
I did find out the reason for the Oil blow by. It seems the A$$ holes at EVOsales sent me the new Piston but did not install all the rings. it seems that after I had did some investigation on line about installing the rings before rebuilding top end that there are two thin rings that go on each side of what I believe is the oil ring they were NOT on the piston that they sent me with the new parts to rebuild my motor.
So it is running good and almost no smoke anymore. Still a bit of oil left that is still burning out of the Muffler. The muffler had a quite a bit of oil that had blown by in it.

Jalat wins the. I am really Kinda PISSED.. Bran new carb Not only has tears in the diaphragm but also the needed disconnected from the diaphragm. Put Diaphragm from old carb in and we took a nice 61 mile ride tonight no problems. Still do not feel that it has the power it should have but it is running good. www.pbase.com/damin69/image/135284393.jpg[/img]

While I can not answer the question of the Electric impact I use an Air Impact to take the Variator nut off then I start it back on by hand then finish off with Impact wrench.

I have never heard of an out of balance wheel being a safety issue on a scoot. It would vibrate enough to make you want to correct it before any danger occurred. These scoots do not have balance weights. Most people use about 2 ounces of Dynabeads to balance the tire. I would try this to see if it eliminates the vibration. www.innovativebalancing.com/gallery1.htmEasy install. Remove the valve in the tire stem and pour in the Dyna beads. Replace valve and refill with air. I have the motorcycle shop balance my tires. They do have weights for balancing. This is basically what he uses on my scooter tires. www.motorcycle-superstore.com/1/4/77/29602/ITEM/K-L-Quickstick-Wheel-Weights.aspx?WT.ac=SLIsearch

My MC-62-250 did the same thing....going down the road and then just died out like it ran out of gas...would start up go 1/4 of a mile and would do the same thing...would idle fine..but would not stay running when getting up to about 40 mph....so, I did everything I could think...then I got a new carb...but it would not pull gas thru it....I squirted gas straight to carb and it would run, then die out...solution: It was a cracked air tube "a short piece of plastic black tubing with a 45 degree bend that comes off the engine and the front part of carb slips into it" It is being repaired as I type...should fix the problem says the mechanic. I will keep you posted hmm thanks for the reply. I will pull that sucker off. I have not pulled the Intake maniford completly off before. I will do that and take a look at it. Thanks

As a newbie still doing research I would never ever buy from Sunny sports/AKA Scooter Depot look at all the complaints they have and a BBB rating of F also lawsuits and the Government involved as well as attorney general and lots of lawsuits. STAY FAR AWAY FROM SUNNY SPORTS/SCOOTER DEPOT.You can find the same or simillar scooters from other decent dealers like Superior power sports check them out I'd deal with them If I buy online.EVO sales sounds good to from what I found out only 3 complaints (due to the shipper and damage they tried to work with the customer and It was customers fault with the part and he never sent a copy of recipt that they asked for) this can be found on ripoff repot.com they also have been in business since 2003 I'd consider them after my research. KISS keep looking you will find many many more complaints about EVOsales.com I went through hell with them their service sucks.

I will take it apart this weekend when I get a chance and look. I am really going to be pissed if a brand new CARB has a bad diaphragm in it.
