I thought I was good when I hit the 13.2 volt mark also. Boy was I wrong. It was not until I was up close to 14 volts that the whole charging system seem to work correctly. Prior to 14 volts I always carried a spare battery with me so I could jump start the scooter when the battery would die on me when riding on hot days when the fan ran most of the time is when it would drop enough that I would not be able to start the scooter off of it. Even with a 12amp battery.

With all of the upgrades I did in this thread. I am running at 15.02 Volts constant the whole time the fan is not running. When fan kicks in I drop to 14.85.

Mine also comes on a bit over 1/4. You are lucky if your temp never goes above 1/2 way.....

Well sad news...... But I am giving something else a try. And as we were working on it we were actually discussing possibly making my own custom copper radiator. So got the new radiator nice little radiator. But it is going back up for sale. If anyone wants it I will sell it to you for the price I paid Plus shipping. It was to wide for this project by about 2 inches.... I am so bumbed out. So this is what I did. I had picked up about 4 foot of 1/2" copper tubing. I bent the tubing so that the water could flow through like a mini radiator and ran it up front. www.pbase.com/damin69/image/135490255.jpg[/img]www.pbase.com/damin69/image/135490256.jpg[/img] I will let you know the results when I am done. All I can say is that With this set up so far Burping has been a pain in the but....

Three Little Letters.... PDI......
Make sure you do a GOOD PDI on them things. Get rid of all the FLUIDS that come stock. They are all JUNK that come in it. If it even has all the fluids in it.

Jalat, The other thing that does help is putting one of your HID headlights on a switch so that in day time you can shut one off. Generally at night it is cool enough that the fan does not run as much so with the light on then it levels out the system draw.

Nice. When you do it. Please make how to with pics. You have modified your scooter so much that you will never sell it It is always somthing. I am tired of having to wrench I want to just be able to ride and not worry about everything. I got my Electrical worked out good. Now I have to get the thing to stay cool so that I can ride all the way to work on a hot day at hiway speed not freeway speed just 2 lane hiway speed and keep the temps cool enough to not worry about overheating.

Your radiator has a cap on it? This one does. I think it will be easier to fill up and get air out of that way. Also This is not to replace the existing Radiator. This is to add on in front of the Gas Tank.
