Hi Curiser I was reading (The BIG GUY's PDI) It was wrote in 2008 would you still recommend all the changing out of the holes and fulid that came on the scoot or has the quality change and there ok now in 2011... thanks Definitely HAS NOT changed. You have to get all that snake oil inferior crap out of them as soon as possible. All the Chino fluids are very sub standard.

can i stick a pipe through the whell and let the shock hold the wheel too? This would NOT be the preferred method unless you are wanting to buy a new WHEEL. You could easily bend or crack the wheel doing this.

The 906 will work for you. It is only 12mm shorter. You will get a bit more punch on take off but loose a little top end with a shorter belt. Anyway it will work on your scooter if you need a belt and can not find the 918.

I would say if it is not all the way up in the Clutch like shown in the pics that means the Variator is part way closed then also. I would start with Taking off the Variator and check to make sure the Rollers are in place. Also check to make sure that there is not binding going on on the clutch pulley.

Wow you got Screwed. Ok I will try looking up some later but you may find it easier to got to local hardware to get new cap Nut as apposed to ordering. Also I notice on your picture that instead of the hex bolt button cap screw. Might want to consider removing that and checking to see if it is the correct size or if it has been cross threaded in and the wrong size.

Not on the linhai style motors. they usually run very cool. Sould like a good time to flush the system and put in new coolant.

the radiator fill/overflow is accessable by taking 2 screws out in glove box under the handlebars then the plastic comes cover comes off to expose the the tank.
Oil is on the side of motor by Muffler.

Wow that is a lot of slop. Yes that is most likely causing your knock. Is your belt all the way to the outside of your Clutch pulley? That is the pulley by the tire. Just wondering if the pulley is closing all the way.

There really should not be much play in the belt at all. Should be fairly tight Held by the clutch spring.

Tonya to bad you are not on the West side of the state you could get some practice hangin out with us geocaching. We ride all over while caching on the scooters. Town and country riding. I would say the most fun we had ridding scooters though was when we ran up to door county. Last weekend was pretty fun to we put on about 250 miles we were around West bend on Sunday then Between Plover and Wisconsin Rapids on Monday.
