The company is sending me a new CDI Box and I was going to take the old one off but can't find it. They told me because My scooter can't get over 55 the CDI Box is not working right. does anyone know where they are located.  Attachments:

Welcome to Scooter Doc, joels007. The CDI is located under the plastic fender right over the muffler. It is the black box just to the right of the large heat sink thing (regulator/rectifier) in this picture:  Nice looking scoot. I have had mine over 82 mph (indicated) on a flat road. An actual 70 to 75 mph is easily attained. |

Thanks Curiser ... I'm saving that pic. I just got the scoot 2 weeks ago and I have 212 miles on it. Hope the CDI Box does the trick and gives me more speed and RPM

Hi Curiser I was reading (The BIG GUY's PDI) It was wrote in 2008 would you still recommend all the changing out of the holes and fulid that came on the scoot or has the quality change and there ok now in 2011... thanks

You have to get all that snake oil inferior crap out of them as soon as possible. All the Chino fluids are very sub standard. |

Todd has it right. Do the PDI from BIG GUY and you will avoid a lot of problems down the road. It is still good for 2011's and beyond.

Good News I got my CDI Box today and put it on and now I have speed ... before I could not go over 55 mpr and that was down hill. Now I got 75 on the hwy Yeaaaaaaaaaa One more scoot up and running ........... Thank Guys.
