Sounds like you should check the Belt out. Might be stretched out and slipping which would cause a squeal and a knock. That would be my first place to start. Also easy fix.

So just got email from Rich. He is exchanging the Carb I got with the Bad diaphragm and broken needle. So when that comes in I will come back and give Scrappy the Thumbs up again.

I have used these. I posted this in another thread a couple weeks ago. Arlingtonproducts has more than just these 2 fuse blocks also.

Again. I have a toggle on one of my lights. During the day when the fan runs the most I only run one HID. Then at night when it is cool where the fan do not run much I run both lights. The fan should get you into the sweet spot. But if it does not consider putting a toggle switch on one of your HIDs.

Mcalli, My jonway was in the dumper only getting about 40-45mpg sucked. I finally did a AF adjust it was almost 3 turns out I turned it in to about 2.5 brought me up to 58 ish a gallon. I think I am stil running rich as I can still smell raw gas when I pull up to a stop sign I think I could go in about a 1/4 turn yet. Just suck that the adjusting screw is on the bottom of my Jonway carb.

Hey Yoster,
I ended up haveing to drill out all of the screws on my Jonway Variator. I cleaned all that crappy grease out of it and put sliders in. I did not reinstall that shield when I put it all back together. I was talking with Tom at KidNme and he does not put them on any of his CN250 style motors either. I have not had any issues not running it. It is primarily there to keep that grease they put in there from coming out.

Well I have ordered from Rich over at Scrappy many times. We have gotten a couple of Variators, Carb, Top end Rebuild for my 244cc Coils belts and Misc. items. He has fast shipping I will give him that. And for the most part we have had a fairly good experience. Up until the last month an a half.
Ok so I got that Defective Carb with the Holes in Diaphragm and the Needle that came off the diaphragm. Sent back and waiting to see how that comes out. I will hold off any bad call as I feel Rich is doing good trying to take care of the situation.
Now on the bad with. My dad placed an order online wanted it shipped to my house so that it would be there when he came down to work on his scooter. So he called up and to have that changed Rich said he would have to cancel the order and reorder. ok no problem so that is what he did. Well that was over a month ago. My dad has still not recieved the Refund to his paypal account. Paypal will not do anything to help him out. He has emailed and called Rich a number of times still nothing. To me this is a HUGE Mark and bad. My dad is on a limited Budget and to have extra money sitting out there that is not refunded is not good.
Now the other items. The coil he has listed for the VOG/Linhai not even close to the one that works. My dad ordered an 871x23 belt he shows a Mitsubishi like what was on his scooter my dad received some no name knockoff. Which Broke on him Sunday on his way home and he had to push his scooter home 3/4 of a mile. Not something I want my 68 year old father having to do.
So I would say I am about 50/50 on scrappy and not real sure how much more business I will do in the future. If he comes through with the Customer service I will probably continue to get items I need if not. I am going to be done getting parts and will advertise.
So that is the good and the Bad just from my Experience.

I had this happen once. Seems when I was putting on the variator I slipped and a couple dropped out of place so the belt was not in the pulley correctly so the clutch was engaging early.

The fan running will not fry your stator. about the only thing that would really hurt the stator is having major DEAD short.
The stators run at full capacity all the time. As long as the motor is running the stator is working at the max it will do for the rpms it is at.

Well being that you have that major problem and you are able to get 13.2 volts with the RR you have. Get that 3 amp fan put in. Now I dont remeber did you put a toggle switch on one of your HIDs? If not I would do that. Both of them will probably get you up to the Prime charging voltage you are aiming for.
I guess I will stop complaining about the $4.15 a gallon I am paying for gas. Even at that it gets costly when I am 120 miles round trip to work everyday. I still spend around $600 a month just for gas to get to work. When I had my truck it was closer to $800 a month.

Jalat, I feel your pain. Believe me I went through all of what you are going through right now. I have many many post this forum going through everything.. I stripped the whole scooter of plastic unwrapped the wire harness and soldered every place that there was a connection. When I Put in the new 3 amp fan I changed out the fan wiring with 12 gauge wire. I tried 3 different Chinese R/R I found that what I had spent on them I would have saved if I had just gotten the OMP RR to begin with. One of the shipping receipts I got had the Chino R/R listed as a 7.5 amp R/R Stock the lighting alone pulls more than that on the system. The OMP is rated I believe about 25 amps.
Some people have gotten a good OEM R/R like Cruiser.
Good luck stick with it you will get it to charge. You are VERY close now..
