Ok I HAVE To get this ole girl running this weekend. Or imma lose my job. With the compression how it is you think I should just buy a new kit? C'mon Bruh I think you have what you need to run. as I stated before It's highly unlikely the bbk is so out to lunch it hasn't enough compression to start. Determin this b-4 ya buy more new parts, but in the end its your wallet beg borrow or steal that psicomp. gauge b-4 ya throw more new parts at her. I dunno, Cam 180 out? half sheared fly wheel key? your close. Even with a carb off I can dump a half teaspoon of fuel directly into the port and make her pop off. good luck

I'd beg borrow or steal a psi gauge than take the top end back down. local auto parts store rent one? The chance that on a New Top End kit, there is something very wrong with the rings is Highly Unlikely. you can get away with some real slop in there and she'l start and run.

I've tried from all the way in to slowly moving it out. But that didn't work. Idk my brother wants me to find out what the gaps on my rings are supposed to be. Also how much compression its suppose to have Ring End Gap Rule of thumb, .003-.004 per Inches of Bore. Min. Round off to 2" bore would be .006-.008 Minimum If yours is correct will be .010-.012 Don't get all caught up in this spec, I can run .015-.020 on the Top (compression) ring and they still have Tons of Compression and Run Fine. If you do have a End Gap of upward of .020 that is telling you one a couple things. (1) The Bore is Severely Wore Out/Egg Shaped and now you've lost your piston to cylinder clearance and End Gap clearance. (2)There the Wrong Rings. Now Ive seen Rings severely wore down to looking like a wire that would cause compression loss and excessive ring end gap but it always destroyed the piston to. Compression Low is under 100, It Will start and run with 90psi. Most like to see in the 120psi area. IF no gauge stick your finger/thumb in the spark plug hole, should blow you finger/thumb out.

See me to. But shouldn't the exhaust have a larger hollow. I reinstalled wiyh the in facing down. Havent finished yet. Hell if it screws it up ill just by another. Unless you know its goin to mess it up then I won't...ally? No. Intake Valves are Larger than Exhaust Valves the Valve Pockets on the Pistn matches those Dia. "In"=Intake

My butt doesn't hurt $60 worth. I find my butt gets hot during these summer rides. Today I was riding with a half helmet in 101° heat and my ears were taking quite a beating. I spread my knees to get a bit of air up under my butt and discovered it stopped the buffeting around my ears. Regardless the buffeting is far less on my piaggio than it was on my Marauder. "spread my knees" I look like a ol goober going down the road doing the same

Too Funny Monkey Butt Bruh! Yull hardin yo arse. What type of helmut do u have? I'm done with wind noise, my fancy cappi is too loud, I wear a full face Noise Reduction Arai. When in doubt throttle out! Very good read!!

Thx brotha I'm trying. Um what's the gap on the rings should be. Like .010 ins or something? Trying to test the compression swell Minimum Ring gap is .003-.004 Gap per inches of Bore. Don't worry bout a gap at .015-.018, it'll have plenty of compression. The "in"= Intake valve on the piston dome. Dunno if the valve will make contact if in backwards but the Wrist Pin is Offset and she'll clunk

Ok I got new piston in but when I put everything back together the exhaust rocker arm has zero play in it even when I back tappet all the way out. I'm sure that's not normal so maybe I put the cam in wrong.also I haven't put the exhaust pipe back on yet cuz its a pain and wanted to make sure she would run before I did all that...would that keep the engine from starting.? I got to get this squared away its my only way to work Check your Cam Timing, Something is wrong. should be a Tutor in this engine section Turn engine by Hand Slowly. dbbl. check your timing and your valve lash adj. The Motor Will start just fine with No Exhaust. fire her up shut her down install exh.

I think your both correct. I was having both problems hard start and up n diwn idle. I adjusted valves to .004-.005. And just put new carb and new head and new batt. Tonight I'm adding a new piston and cylinder.also putting all new gaskets.she is a old girl. 2007 with 8k plus kms. Do you think the new cylinder and gaskets should fix my problems? Make sure you Properly clean the new cylinder prior to assy. There is only One way Hot Soapy water (dish washing det). run a wash cloth thru the bore in the Hot soapy water. Disperse water with WD-40 or similar.

If you Scuffed/Seize a Piston you have will have compression Loss resulting in it being Very Difficult to Start. If this happened you would have lost your clearance and it would rattle at idle. called piston slap. It Would most Likely have Damaged your Cylinder also if you scuffed a piston. In the installation of a new Piston and Ring you will need to a Cylinder Hone of 400-600- grit and know how to use it. A Simple Compression check is cheaper and easier then doing the above. Lets chill and systematically go thru what you got going on How many mies on her? What did you adjust the valves to? did you double check them?

good point here one who been long time with a mfg, I /we policed the fake dealers all the time, Dealers had to supply a photo of there store front along with tax id etc. I busted a few suppling a adress to a Business suite only for it to be empty. We caved to drop ships for Distributors and charged them a $5. drop ship fee for each one, in not imd short they would have racked up a pretty good dsf charge. Dealers were No way, I had supposed dealers want to drop ship a order and give me there customers credit card #'s. At the end of the day and the all mighty bottom line ya never turn down a sale.

Technician in the Tropics. ha, as slice of a alley, dirt floor soaked in oil , single light bulb hanging from middle of room a good Mayan technician may coast ya $25 a week US. They never throw anything out, piles of junk parts and scrapped scoots. FIgure a cheap Sunny 150 @ $750. US. They rent $40. per day. a few weeks and she's paid for. you've made a bunch of money by the time its falling apart. and most times can stick it to a ignorant gringo tourist for the repair.

Its got that snorkel in the front and a vent out the rear of the cover. Ive rented allot of these in the tropics for my dive trips in the rain gasket or no gasket it gets water in there. at seas level a big rain floods short term some streets, they will plow thru a couple feet of water. Oh ya it trashes them, figure limestone island and sand, mix with a little salt water and organic black dirt.
