I don't have a tester to do your suggestion, but if the fuse was dead it seems to me the headlight and tail light would not work.

On my bike there is a key switch to 'on' then a starter switch/emergency stop. If either switch was defective I figure the bike would not run at all, as the key switch has to be on to start on the jump switch. Same with the starter switch, it has to be on for the bike to run. Either switch will shut the engine off.

My moped starts easily on jump switch bypassing the starter switch .. but the circuit which includes the starter switch, brake light, turn signals, horn, fuel guage is dead. I caused the problem with a power surge trying to start on the start switch while coasting downhill to save gas .. my CDI burned out but I replaced the CDI and the bike runs well except for the dead circuit. My wiring diagram shows only one fuse between battery and starter and it's good. I find no other fuse on wiring diagram or in the bike. I replaced the 'amber flasher' electronic control on a hunch but no improvement. Any thoughts? Bravo Soleil.
