Thanks for all the info guys. I drained the tank an carb last night and put on new fiel lines and fuel filter, going to put fresh gas in it after work. And yeah motley its been awhile since i adjusted the idle screw will do that today too. The guy i bought it from said hes never pit anything but 93 in the tank, said anything lower will gunk it up, but a couple guys at work suggested using non ethanol fuel, said thats what they use in their atvs, dirk bikes etc, but dont know if thats good for scooters. Should i stick with the 93 or try the non ethanol? Searching online hasnt given me any very good answers lol

I did add that sea foam cleanser to the fuel and that has seemed to help somewhat but still not full on great. Someone suggested using heet to get out any moisture but didnt know if that is safe to use in the scooter.

Hey all, just joined and need help troubleshooting possibly. First because i know someone will ask, i dont know what the make/model of my scooter is, its a Frankenstein of a scooter i believe lol, no insignias, logos branding of anykind anywhere. All i know is its a 70cc chinese scooter and 99% of the videos i find on youtbue that work for me are the ones related to the gy6? Ive been learning to fix everything myself to save on labor costs of taking to a shop and just to have the knowledge of how to do these things for myself. My current issue is that my scooter fires right up when i start it, and it idles just fine as well, but soon as i hit the throttle wether slow or fast it bogs down and dies. In the past year ive replaced the throttle cable, starter, carburetor, petcock, sparkplug, cdi module, air filter and fuel lines. I recently noticed that there is no fuel filter anywhere, so i purchased one to install which should be quite easy. My only thought left is maybe water in the gas? It was working just fine, i filled the tank on my way home, an the next morning when i went to go to work is when it started doing this. I know how to drain the gas from the tank, but what i need help with is how to drain the carb. Can i just unscrew the screw to the short hose coming off the carb or do i need to take the entire carb off the scooter or what? Any advice would be great. THANKS!
