It is a thick black cord hanging from the right side. It's in the back near the engine and the foot peg for a passenger.

There is a black cord hanging on the side where the engine is. It looks like a power cord for a old radio. Does anyone know what that goes to or if it's the ground to the engine?

I bought a new CDI unit and that wasn't the problem. I checked to see if the spark plug was getting spark and it's not. Before I had this issue the bike was dropped but it cut on briefly after I cleaned the carburetor then shut off again.

The hose that wasn’t connected to the carb is probably the air cutoff valve, generally keeps you from having backfires upon deceleration. It could be the cdi, but I’d check if the spark plug is getting spark first. I’d also see if the carb is getting gas. You can read this article from Allyoop on how to check that - scooterdoc.proboards.com/thread/7723/check-fuel-delivery . Check those 2 things before spending money on what could possibly be the wrong thing. Solymar

So I replaced the fuel filter and it cut on briefly then it wouldn't turn over again. Could it be the CDI unit?

It looks like it doesn't have the fuel filter in. There was a hose missing that connects to the carburetor so I don't know how it was even running before but I replaced the hose and cleaned it,I also replaced the spark plug.

I have a 2006 tgb moped I just bought used. I went to ride it and it started to stall after I picked up speed but now it's not turning over. I changed the spark plug but it still won't start.
