I'm new to the forum, but I'm not new to repair.  my first 'go to' when that happens is loosen the exhaust nuts or bolts at the cylinder head and put a screwdriver between the exhaust and head to allow exhaust to escape just for diagnostic purposes.  if that doesn't help, take out the air filter and try it.  the spark plug could also be fouling or out of gap.  possibly even loose.  I've seen it before.

there are other things to try.  but try those first.
