Everything is working off the starter button I installed. When engine cranks, I have all functions. I just do not have a kill switch, will hook that back up when new assembly comes in. In the meanwhile I think I will put some of the rear plastic back on. Thanks for all the help and patience.

Yes, the kill switch was in the run position. Jumped across the solenoid, engine fire up,runs good. running on old solenoid. Had fried the start button earlier messing around with the other solenoid with no wires. Melted the solder from the start switch. I can see the wires very clear. Took starter switch out.The wires are yellow/red and green.I have wired me a external push button switch for a start switch. Has voltage. Now let go back to the old solenoid===tell me wire for wire were to put each one. /Total of four post, two small with wires and two large with no wire. Now wire me up. After I /you are sure my wires are correct I can try the brake switches.

Well I am back, starter switch went bad ,you could push on it and it did nothing, was stuck in on position, installed new unit, start switch , kill switch. 4 way flasher and wires for the brake switch. Connected it all back up,one large connector, two seperate wires one gray and I don't remember the color of the other one and the two brake switch wires. Turned the ign. switch on, turned kill switch off , put rubber band around brake leaver, pushed start switch, nothing. Checked the voltage on the two wires, the yellow/black wire read zero, green/yellow read 5.9 volts. pushed start switch, yellow/black went to 6.4 volts, let go of start switch, went to zero. Green/yellow reading 5.7 volts. Got to be two many skeeters, quit for the nite. Explain the solenoid with the fuse and the four spades, no small wires, just the two top post. Am I to cut my wires and put different ends on them? I had one of my other soleniods in line when I started the scooter. From one old Marine to all of you brothers and sisters, Happy Memorial Day, remember the ones that you knew that can't be here today with you.

Well I'm back, been sick for a couple of days, feeling better now. Well the new solenoid and the new combo CDI/Coil came in yesterday afternoon , I installed both of them this morning, nothing changed from the old problem of not cranking. Jumped solenoid and she fired right up, had lights, turn signals, gage's,brake lights, even the radio came on.every thing appeared to be working. Except will not engage solenoid to make the starter work. The new CDI/Coil is a nice piece of equipment, mounted it where the old coil mounted , ran the wire around to where the CDI was hooked up, took the old CDI out , hooked the new wires to the wires that I just took off the CDI. Took the old plug wire off, installed the new one that is part of the CDI/Coil combo. Done Installed new solenoid, this one has a fuse and what appears to be a hook-up of some sort. Has no small wires, just one big wire to hook to the + side of the battery and the other large post. Not sure what to do with the wires that come from the starter switch. Anyway, hooked up what I knew about to the solenoid, jumped the post and she cranks right up. no missing, sputtering or anything, ran very smooth for a cold engine. I am now headed back out to run the test that Doc had ask me to perform. Back later.

:)I went back through all of the steps that I performed last evening, got the same results. Decided to check all of the fuse holders---the two snap shut holders at the battery were fine, but when I checked the oem fuse block, some of the fuses were not even in the metal clips to hold them, clips were just screwed up, anyway I took that fuse block out and put in one that I had laying around that I had purchased to use on my boat(waterproof). I installed it, put all the fuses back into circuits. Surprise---I now have Brake lights, horn, turn signals and 4 way flashers come on but do not flash. Tested the starter solenoid as you suggested, no current when I press the start switch. Jumped the solenoid again, she started right away. I am a happy man. Appears that I need another solenoid, which is on the way. The flasher clicks once when you first turn a turn signal on, but does nothing else. Same thing when you turn the four way flashers on. I must have gotten it, with all the different problems with the fuse box. You guy's sure walked me through this mess to get me to where I am at now, could not have done it without your help and support. Just a couple more steps and this soap opera should be coming to a end.

I am ordering the solenoid and CDI tonight. Hope to have them Friday. Question, is my CDI DC or AC I have been told that must 250's are DC. Just wondering?

The glass fuse and holder I replaced when I first got the scooter, I installed one that uses the ATC type fuse and has a snap cover over it. The other one was in bad shape when I received it from the dealer. I replaced a total of six fuses this afternoon. Is there some others up front somewhere? How do I check the fuses to make sure that current is passing thru them?

Thanks, I appreicate the picture, so I would need to check the other end of the two small wires that are made into the solenoid. If I had gotten power on the first test.

I changed all the fuses that I know of, two by the battery in fuse holders, and four more that are in a fuse box next to the battery. Is there some others that I am missing?

Just got back, no tail lights, have turn signal lights, do not flash, no horn, 4 way flashers but don't flash. Explain the solenoid location, is it the one that I have been jumping to start the thing? Or the other thing that fires the plug, i think.

The wiring on my CDI does not appear to be the same color as your drawing------I have one black and one black/white stripe on the small two pin connection. On the four pin, I have one black/yellow stripe , one red/yellow stripe, this pin not used, and a Green.
Is my motor a c f moto clone? I know its 244 cc, but not much else.
I do need to tell you that I changed the headlights to full HID , high beam and low beam the first week that I had the machine, lights come on after the scooter is cranked and running ,a wonderful change if you do much night riding and I have added a electrical stabilizer hooked up at the battery. Everything else is stock. Oh yes, I live close to salt water, everything gets surface rust and corrosion if you don't clean it on a regular basis. please overlook my spelling, I can't seem to find spell check on this quick reply post.
