Shinko is what I am running. Far better than original, wearing better than the Avon I used next. I'm happy with them.

Well, I'm up to 8500+ and going strong. It took almost 5000 miles to break in and quit using oil. Right fork strut started leaking and I found fork seals for a Honda CN250 fit perfectly and a lot less than a new strut. Have a 300 mile trip tomorrow and another 300 return trip later in the week. So I'll soon hit the 10,000 mark too.

Fork seals

The Honda seals that I ordered fit perfectly. I only ordered one kit (one seal and one dust cover) because I didn't know for sure that they fit and I had replaced the whole strut on the other side just last fall. Less than $20 from the Honda dealer. I had a chance tonight to install them. Honda part #51490-KL8-900 for a CN250 Honda Reflex.

Those on ebay appear not to have the flanged top plug. The first one Superior sent me when the other side leaked was that kind and was too small in diameter to fit the fork assembly.

Fork seals

I have a YY250T that I bought new August 2011. Right from the start the front forks would bottom out on almost any bump. Then the left side started leaking. replaced the left side. No more bottoming out. Now after about 5000 miles the right side is leaking. Are there fork seals available? The people I bought it from say "No". On line sellers list only the whole strut assembly. Will seals for a Honda Reflex fit. The set is only $17. (It is cloned from a Reflex I think.)
Thanks, Sky

It has been a few months since this thread was started but I'll add my two cents. I have a 2011 YY250T and have about 4700 miles so far. Have had a few problems with it. Left fork was bad from the start, now right fork has started leaking. One of the little screws on the back side backed out and caused problems until I bought an electric impact wrench to tighten the variator nut. The Temp gauge read full hot even though the engine is not hot at all. Changed sender twice==no difference. I rider almost every day and go up to two hundred miles on a trip. Tire wear is excessive on the original tires. Replaced rear at 2000 mi. Looking for better tires. I am hoping that I can get at least 40,000 or 50,000 out of it.

The temperature sender on my 2011 Johway YY250T has gone bad and they sent me a new one. Where should I start looking for its location?
