Have complete motors for 85 Elite 150 - 85 CN250 and an 86 CH250. Body panels, wiring harnesses mufflers. Most Body panels are in OK shape requiring some tab mounts to be rebuilt. The nose for the CH250 and the Helix are in great shape. I'm not a reseller... these are just parts from a steam punk scooter project I've been working on for the past 7 months. I live in Vancouver BC and can ship out via Greyhound. Engines heads are off and complete. Rockers are in great shape on all engines. Heads would have to be re-sleeved 86 CN250 had piston head grind down and the second CN250 engine was left outside by an idiot without a spark plug in place, would have to be ground out. Cranks are good on all engines. Shoot me a question if you need anything, I'll see what I got. Not looking to make money - just looking to get it out of the shed.

I'm watching the video and the first thing I've noticed was.... when he pulled the vacuum piston, the diaphragm itself was pretty tight. On both vacuum pistons I have access to... the diaphragms look a little bacon like, not torn... maybe a little tired? Back to the video

I've had the engine apart, checked all tolerances, cleaned and honed. Double checked the timing and no issue there. I know the carb is getting gas and the float fills up properly, but it's clearly not getting any fuel through to fire. I've cleaned the jets and soaked all components and air dried all parts and checking to the best of my ability all passages. I've also sprayed quick fire into the cylinder and it still doesn't pop (used to before I started messing with the vacuum lines) Vacuum lines appear to be correct (thanks alleyoop) and it is pulling gas from the tank properly. It is getting spark when I pull the plug and check it. I'm getting 4 ohms at the electric choke. I've been working with two old carbs that were pretty gummed up when I got them. I've soaked all parts overnight in a carb cleaner and air cleaned them properly. Does the air cut off valve have anything to do with the pressure required to move fuel in the carb? Is it worth my time to order a complete carb kit and new jets? or just bite the bullet for a new carb. Am I wasting my time by ordering a carb kit?

Alleyoop - bringing our conversation forward into this thread as I'm not double checking my TDC alignment. I've visually checked my TDC through the spark plug hole and can see that it comes to TDC I've matched to the T mark as well as the small circle on the cam. My cam has only one small stamped circle on it unlike the one you've illustrated. I'm almost 100% sure I'm at TDC, but am pulling the valve cover over the weekend to be absolutely sure that I am correct. I don't think that I am an entire tooth out, but as I'm pulling the carb again!!!!... I might as well satisfy my doubts.

Cheers! I will check it out tonite when I get home and post my findings tomorrow... I figured that there had to be a flow through. Been exploring the other threads as well. Great site and love the diagrams. I think I will be able to figure out if my vacuum tube routing is correct off of the diagrams you have up for the models.
Will post pics over the next couple days of my restoration.

New to the board.... but have been "knucklebashing" on hondas as long as I can remember. I've always had electrical problems and have been trying to find a diagram that shows what alleyoop illustrated in the above thread.. many thanx.
I am finishing the resto on an 85 CH150 and have had similar problems. Does the slow jet flow through. When I shine a lite in either end, it seems to reflect light leaving me to believe it is blocked naturally. I've check my other carb and same thing.
I was thinking it's a vacuum leak originally and have checked all lines. I will follow up with your thread suggestions as you've given me valuable intel... thanks again!
Nice trike by the way... kits available?
