thanks for all the advice, it's much needed! I do have a new problem however.... now when im at a dead stop and start to accelerate there is a rattling that i hear and it feels like a grinding or vibration. it doesn't sound right. just randomly happened when I turned it on the other day. I looked around after a short ride and nothing looked like it was rubbing or anything. No idea where to look for the problem now. Any ideas?

Hey everyone. So I've been digging through a lot of threads trying to better understand what basic maintenance I need to be doing on my bike, but in all honestly most of the information is too advanced still. Feels like I'm reading Latin. I don't know a thing about air fliters, oils, gas, most of the parts.... pretty much anything. I can fill it with gas and I know where the battery is lol. Does anyone know anywhere I can find some visuals to help me start identifying parts and perhaps basic stuff I need to check regularly? Is it better to turn the engine off with the key or the kill switch? Which gas is best to fill it with? I was told Premium. Is there a best way to warm it up before I ride? I find it can stop on me if it's not been running long. I understand rev'ing it isn't smart when you start it up. AHHH so much to learn!
I have under 50 miles on my scoot. I only take it to work.
Also is there any riders in Long Beach who want to get together?
Hit me with some knowledge? Thanks everyone.

SUCH LUCK! thanks everyone. ill repost if i have new questions.

im not having excellent feelings about scams regardless so i'm going to see what it would cost to just have the guys do it for me. i am currently looking for the parts. wont kick start either. hm id also like to find some people in long beach who tinker so i can learn a bit more. let me know if anyone in the area is up for the (big) challenge sad to say but i think the most ive ever delved into things would be checking the oil.... on a car. thanks to everyone for trying to help.

the start button produces no noises, no turn, nothing. however when i turn the ignition the gauges move. i called the guys who sold me the bike and theyre sending one guy to get the bike. he did give me sort of weird advice though. he said i should take pictures, get insurance today, and then claim the accident tomorrow and have someone else fix it. i feel weird about that but i dont even really know what im looking at when i open it up. the manual would have been useful had it not been a literal translation from chinese.

thanks. the electric start worked fine before the spill. i've had the bike a few days. its got less than 5 miles on it. i dont even have insurance yet. in im Long Beach. thanks for the welcome. ive been a bit intimidated about the bike because i don't know anything or anyone who does.
im wondering if there is anyone in the area who rides at all who might want to meet up and show me some things and whatnot.
