Rode to school yesterday and the bags were great. No flapping in the wind and they held my books, my purse and waterbottle without difficulty.
This is great as my trunk has come open a couple times on my way home with my purse in the trunk. Now I can zip it into my bag and not worry. I would love to get rid of the trunk but wnt to keep the backrest.

Ginny, the regulator is also the rectifier. Yes, mine went out and fried my battery, battery cables, lights and headlight pigtail. Why would it also be the choke? It's not.

There are D rings on the back inside of the bags so there i a place to bungee them so they don't flap. I haven't ridden with then on yet but will today just to test. We need toilet paper and toothpaste so I have to go out. Will repost back on the wind.
I'm working on a math project, due tomorrow, today. Sign your name with your wrong hand 15 times and time each attempt. Then do a scatter plot, a graph, and some other dumb questions. I hate math projects. . .notice I waited until the last minute. Was assigned two weeks ago.

I was looking for saddle bag and came VERY close to buying some pretty expensive bags from LeatherUp. I heard from someone about these nylon saddlebags made for horses from another scootist and decided for $23 shipped they were worth a look. Here they are: So When I got it the middle section was about 5 inches too wide between each bag. i cut out the middle and sewed it back together. Then I put the thing back on the scoot and measured where the gas cap is and cut that out and sewed around the edges so the gas cap is exposed. The whole thing is fit under the grab handles so it won't go anywhere and the seat closes perfectly over it. The bag can't be stolen that way (okay it can be cut, but i'm not worried about that.) For $18 plus shipping, they come in black and brown and the company shipped really fast. i'll be getting a second pair for Tom's scoot, provided I can get the thing running. Oh yeah, the link to these is: www.tractorsupply.com/equine/horse-tack/other-horse-tack/heavy-duty-nylon-saddle-bag-5046742And I found some pencil holder things that are about 3 inches deep and 12 inches long. I used them to make the bottom hard so things won't make the bottom bow out, you can kind of see where they are in the last picture. You can see the outline. But now they have a flat, hard bottom.

Thanks! Rich. I will let the engine break in more and maybe check the rollers first. I remember breaking open the Vie and finding 18s in it, changing them to 14/11s made the top end much faster and climbed hills better. If there are 18s in the Peg and 15s in the Cadenza that could make a difference. And this is the second engine in the Fly, the first, Tom says was very different than this one. He says it seemed broken in the moment it was installed. Faster by far then the first and smoother from the beginning. He is getting better, smoother power with each mile. And I have only given the Peg a mere 350 miles compared to Fly 1500. Peg seems fast when I'm riding alone. It seems slow when Tom is puling away from me. BUT I can hold it up and Tom tetters on it when riding. Finally had to measure each others inseam to prove my legs are longer than his. I'm going to shave the seat this weekend and install the Vapor Trail Tech to it so I can tell how fast/slow I'm going. Tom says the Fly hits 70 by China and is about 8% off.

Cadenza is 282# Tom is 185#
Peg is 286# and i'm 166# (I'm a Botticelli, but losing)
So the weight is about the same.

Just want to give props to Flyscooters for great service.
I have 3 Flys in my garage and anytime I need a part, I email Daniel and I suddenly have a part in my mailbox.
I need a new coil for our Cadenza (2008 model) and I expect to have it by Friday (april 16).
They are fast, friendly and not afraid to answer the hard questions when presented.

I would love to do this but my scoot shuts off when the kick is put down. And the worst light doesn't have the wire showing. I know it's not a timed light as I have sat at it for a full 5 minutes before finally going through it. But when the car sits at the light it's a 1.5 by 10 second light. 1.5 minutes on the main road, 10 second on the side road.

Peg: Type 4-Stroke, Single Cylinder, Liquid Cooled Bore x Stroke 58mm x 57.8mm Compression Ratio 10.3:1 Carburetion Keihin Displacement 152.7 cc Max. Torgue 9.0 / 6000 Horse Power 12 HP Ignition CDI Transmission Automatic CVT
Cadenza: Engine Type:Single cylinder, four-stroke Design:GY6 Displacement:150cc Bore x Stroke:1.90 in × 1.93 in (48.2 mm × 48.9 mm) Compression Ratio:9.2:1 Carburetor:Deni, joint venture with Keihin of Japan Max Power:9.6 hp (7.2kW) @ 7,200 rpm Max Torque:5.2 lbs·ft (7.0 Nm) @ 6,000 rpm Max Speed:64 mph
When Tom and I went out Saturday after the valve adjust I did some 'research'. From a dead stop, up a slight hill he dusted me. I was at WOT and he was pulling away. Cadenza engine has 1500 miles, Peg has 350. We both moved at the same time from the light.
The specs say Peg is 12hp, watercooled. Cadenza is 9.6, air cooled. Even without being broken in (1000 miles) I figure that I would be as fast if not just faster. 2.4 hp isn't small when working at these small numbers.
So, think my rollers are heavier? Why would the Peg be slower?
Thanks!

The engine sounds great when it's idling. But it isn't ticking at all. It's problem is when it's under a lot of force, uphill or sometimes from a stop to full throttle.
I'm going to switch out the coil and plug and see what's what.
Ive got an email in to Daniel for a replacement coil. He should be riding again by weeks end. The do ship dern fast!! Meanwhile I'm letting Tom ride the Peg to get more miles on it for breakin.

hey
I thought the Cadenza would like the wider spacing, but I don't hear them ticking.
I did think of the air filter as I've never looked at it and it may be nasty and time for cleaning and replacing.
He rode it today and says it's borderline unridable it's missing so bad.
The plug looks great, perfect beige color and the threads are dark down two threads so I think it's good for the application.
I will check out the coil, may be time for a replacement.
