I'm at three but not much time to do it. I use only my phone and the geo app for Android and it's been great! I did find a nice GPS JUST for geocaching but don't want to spend anything as long as my phone app is doing the job (thanks Damin for that info)
I also have made a few cool things to leave as trades, some coin things (went to bank and got chinese money with the hole in it) and even some lip balm keychains that are really small and easy to stuff in small spaces.
I still have a couple close, walking distance caches to find but it's raining. . .darn it.

That is whaqt my 15yo son wants to get into. Wind Energy. He was talking about becoming a wind energy engineer, but jumped to solar for a while. I think he's back to wind again. We live about 40 minutes from a wind research center in Superior, CO.

I believe I heard the same thing, that these go as good as can be and not many mods can help it go faster. I think someone mentioned they could get faster off the line but not much more top end power no matter the mods. Maybe an upgrade to the 150cc or a 250 is your better money?

Wow Ginny. Really sorry your hubby has to go through that. Having to layoff people you work with and a lot of time have come to be like family is never easy. I hope things go well and he can cope with it and not get too depressed. Well, one of the guys that are on the list was one of the guys that we camped with this weekend. So meeting him, getting to know him better, it makes it that much harder for Tom. Unfortunately we all got to see why he is on the list, no urgency to him. He was always late, always slow, and even in a crowd he was not 'with' us. Not that it makes it easier to tell him he's losing his job. I was thinking of making some coins that have our geocaching ID on them from shrink plastic. I wouldn't take anything, but would just leave them as a 'we were here' kind of thing. A little more than just the sign-the-log thing. Tom said I should go on without him for now. I will go back, find and sign, and find the others within walking distance of my house. I will do one per day so I have it to look forward to instead of doing them all in one day.

so I went out and looked again for it today. I cut short my last post because the husband came to sit by me, I didn't want him to know I found it without him. I will 'find' it again with him. There are a couple more in walking distance from my house that I can find. I'm afraid that we won't have much time to seek on the weekends. He has most weekends booked up with some thing or another. So when we have time together we might be able to seek, I may be doing most alone. There are some bad things going on at his office, he has to choose 11 people to lay off. He's not doing well with that. . .had a two hour meeting today about it and was in bed by 9:30. I feel sad for him.
Oh and does anyone make things that are all the same to leave in the tradeable caches? I was thinking of doing that, making something to leave in the caches to say I was there.

Got home LAST NIGHT FROM A TECHNOLOGY FREE WEEKEND. Found my first geocache today. Didn't sign the log yet as I want to 'find' it again with my husband.

damin, gc13zcd it's called Citizen Soldiers nd its in the parking lot behind my house. There is a Nat Guard station in the center, hence the name of the geocach. It's a micr0, 2/5 and 1.5/5. Last found 5/18/10 or ten days ago. maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=39.625677,-105.112598&spn=0.00075,0.001725&t=h&z=19 It's in this parking lot. the house on the left with the red roof is my next door neighbor. The house below it with the white car parked out front of it is mine. So getting to the geocach is easy but it's driving me crazy. Thanks for your help.

Okay, good to know.
I looked for my first one today but cannot find it. Spent 45 minutes looking, supposed to be wheelchair accessible so I would figure that the geocach would be on flat ground, not up stairs or up a grassy hill. It's right behind my house so I can go look again over and over, but it's kind of driving me crazy and I wonder if it didn't get moved?
Tell us all what you do to find them?

OMG! How cool is that! I downloaded that FREE app and I think I talked Tom into leaving work early to go find our first geocache!
Who started this? Damin69? YOU ROCK!
We are going to make a geocach to hide in Black Canyon National Park this weekend.

I would start with around 120-150 grit. That will take off most of the paint. Once done, I would go to about 320 to take out any of the big scratches and make wet sanding the primer easier. Spray about 4 good coats of primer with the first being very light. Sand the primer with 600 grit and water dipping the paper in the water. Should be very smooth and ready for paint. Wash it VERY good and make sure it is clean and dry it but let it dry overnght as paint and water do not mix. Before you paint, wipe off with a tacky cloth and you are ready. Spray about 4 coats again with the first being very light again. Clear if you want. Thanks! Will do pics when I get to it.
