Hey, yeah..... with getting help form my neighbour i forgot to do the video half because i had to end up taking apart the whole thing anyways.... It's all back together now but i am having an issue with the wiring side if it all. We had to unplug all the wires to take it off the buggy and now we hooked it all back up and we had 1 wire plugged into the wrong spot, so we were not getting a spark... the we didn't take the battery off when we moved to to where it was spossed to be and we blew the fuse that is on the buggy. we replaced it but arent getting a spark with every rotation of the engine like its spossed too. We only get a spark right as we stop turning it over. any ideas on what is wrong? or what we could of fried when that fuse blew?

Yeah, so the engine is all back together now, havent ran it yet but noticed the difference from just feeling the chains tension, old one was able to move a tiny bit, this one has no movement when i pull on it from the top of the cam sprocket. I don't think ill have this back in the buggy and run it until after i fix the buggy's breaks. Which could be as soon as tomorrow. Not sure what all is wrong with them. working alittle bit probably need to bleed them out real good. Also might be getting a new break setup from a friend for free which will help out if i can get the ones on here to work.

Ok, so some bad news and good news.. The bad news is the idea to get the chain in through that gap behind the variator wont work with my engine. the chain doesn't fin through it. Good news is my neighbor was a mechanic for alittle bit and he was helping me and we split the crankcase open and have it at the point to put the new chain on. We will do it tomorrow afternoon, hopefully everything goes well and ill post if this thing is finally running after we get it back together.

OK, since the is no actual kickstart on the outside.. I think I'll leave it out. Even if we put a kickstart thing on you couldn't reach it due to how the engine is in the buggy.

OK thanks... I was wondering, all the gears in here are for the kick start correct?? If so since I have an electric start could I not put these back in? Or would that mess up the engine

Yeah, will be ordering those parts by tonight and hopefully they ship quickly and i can finish this thing up and have it running for this upcoming weekend.
And yes, one of the things i always try to do when fixing something i couldn't find a video of myself is to record it and post it up, for all the future people who struggle with the same issue, and it probably will make your life alittle easier if this problem comes up again you can just be like "here, watch this video." LOL

Ok thanks, i will order the cooling shroud, and yes i understand what it takes to replace the guides, i already have the head off this engine to look at the timing chain and what not, also i have to go into the CVT portion anyways to replace the chain since this is the only way to put a new one on without taking the crank shaft out, i do know the work ahead wont be a ton of fun but hopefully it pays off and lets me drive this thing.
